Contabo down during days no more communication

So I'm having the top (6-core) VPS of Contabo and my server entered in "kernel panic". No information from them, basically suggesting that it didn't have anything to do with them. Restored the system to the default set up removing the problem. Reinstalled everything spending a huge amount of time. One day later (in fact, less than 12 hours) the VPS was down again, and their "support" said that I could access neither using a browser nor with Putty because the VPS was still in rescue mode ........ Some emails later they decided to forward this issue to our technical department for further investigation, requested my root password and: Unfortunately we have a temporary problem with the hostsystem. This is causing your VPS to freeze after a short time. We are working hard to solve it as soon as possible. We kindly ask you for some further patience and your understanding.. As the problem was with their host I asked for a new VPS to keep my business online, but: Unfortunately we cannot provide a new VPS to you at this time. We are working to bring your VPS back online. Unfortunately we cannot estimate how long it would take, but we are doing our best. The issue should be solved in some hours, we will inform you, once your VPS is up and running again.. That was about 21 hours ago. They're no longer responding emails.

Have you got backups of your data? If not, perhaps ask them to mount your filesystem and send you a copy of it. It sounds a little like they're not really sure what's happened, so if I were you my first priority would be ensuring the data was safe, before getting the VPS back online. Edit: Ah I see you reinstalled recently, so you'll have a backup of your data. That's good.
