My servers were down once again, this time, for at least 5 mintues. Then everything came back online. This is becoming OLD. Does anyone know what the problem is?

Your issue wasn't related to the issue yesterday. Whatever happened to you this morning was restricted to your server. Yesterday the issue was that all our BGP sessions dropped.

Seems to be down again.. even their main site is unaccessible.

Im getting sick and tired of this. I'm paying expensive google adwords PPC clicks to many sites on my boxes and im paying for clicks that leads to dead sites. The system is down once again. Is there anyone at Pacificrack who knows whats going on? This service is becoming highly unreliable and im thinking of moving out of this DC. Iv had it with them.

Can you please PM me your client ID and I can take a look. I've been working from home without any connectivity issues. I have also checked some of our customers' bandwidth graphs (Along with our upstream) and am not seeing any issue. Thanks

FWIW, I can access PacificRack's website without problems.

Posted by jackpx, 05-06-2010, 10:43 PM
yes, not problem .... working fine all day

Posted by Mikie4648, 05-06-2010, 10:48 PM
are you kidding me? Its not a connectivity issue at all because the web site http://pacificrack.com was also down. So how can it be a connectivity issue sepcific to my servers if i could not connect to your main website even.

Because this will allow for tracking of your issue in our ticket system and we may identify the problem you're experiencing. This may be a route issue with one of our peers that's only affecting you/a small subset of users. Further, traceroutes to/from our network are quite helpful when you're experiencing an issue as it'll allow us to track the issue down quicker and I don't want to ask for your IP address, nor do I expect you to post it in a public forum. However, per your PM you are able to access your servers again. I have opened a ticket requesting the information above so that we may track this issue and fix it for you. We also do not lock down our support email address. So you can ALWAYS email support~@~quadranet.com and we will assist you as much as we can.

From a traceroute that was done during the downtime, it doesn't seem as though it's pacificrack's problem: However, it seems to be fine now.

Thats definitely well before PR's network, your packet got lost or stuck in San Jose, CA. I'm sure if you send in traceroutes like this one to their support department, they can contact their upstream provider and notify them of this issue.
