Looking for a windows VPS for testing

Posted by Dwagar, 04-08-2016, 11:52 AM
We are looking for a good enough VPS with Windows 2012 for testing an APS package for Windows Plesk. we just need to install Microsoft SQL on it and I have a Plesk license for testing. The only traffic it will just a couple testers and myself. The problem is we will probably only need it for a month or two at the most to get this project working right with Plesk. Our development servers are in use with other stuff and would hate buying another server that we really don't need at the moment since our space in the rack is full right now. I looked at Plesk sandbox servers and they only provide linux ones and no windows sandboxes which is a bummer for us. I'll need RDP access to install SQL and Plesk and that's about it. Thanks in advance.

Hi Dwagar, Have you considered signing up for a Windows 2012 VPS with Vultr? If you haven't, check out: https://www.vultr.com/freetrial/ Cheers, Travis Last edited by ZenHosting; 04-09-2016 at 02:37 AM. Reason: Spelling mistake

Just sounds like you want the "test" aspect for this to be a Windows VPS for a short amount of time? If that's the case any Windows VPS or KVM/XEN provider will work for you.

Don't use Vultr, That company will rob you. They lost Bitcoin payments on me.

He only needs it for a month, so he is not gonna pay anything.

Thanks for all your responses, I ended up going with vultr.com and got my plesk and SQL license installed and I must say for the short time I used them and downloading MS SQL Server from Microsoft, their servers are really fast at downloading 3+ gigs. Anyways I was able to get my APS package tested and everything went well. Thanks again.
