Stay away from pacific host

This company used to have top notch service which is why I've been with them for 3 years now. Lately the service has gone to hell. The downtime got so bad this past winter that they had to move me to another server. In May their payment gateway crashed causing all payments to not go through. They then had the balls to suspend sites for non - payment even after the admitted the payment gateway was their fault and noone could pay via credit card. Today I was told they wouldn't credit my account and that I would "have to sue them for compensation". Well I plan on doing just that. I am moving my sites away from this ignorant a$$ company and getting lawyer!

So, how much you are paying for the reseller hosting? And how much you are willing to pay for the lawyer? Please update us how it goes.

I pay normal costs and getting my lawyer involved would be free for me as he is under a retainer agreement. I am considering it because of there serious down time which has caused me to lose clients and monthly income which has exceeded $3,000 a month now.

Although I feel for you (downtime is always stressful). I think you might be exaggerating a bit here and if not, you really have nobody to blame but yourself. If you are generating $3000.00 a month from your web hosting service, you might want to do some more investing into your infrastructure, vs a 15-30 dollar reseller account.

That is true! It sounds like a joke said here...a law business making 20k a day and host their site at a 5/mo hosting, your host is going to cover up to the amount you pay to them not the amount you make you should read your terms and consider investing if you make 3000. You should get a 2,3 managed vps or dedicated servers to avoid all the downtime and business loss this way even if one server goes down only a few of your customers will be down so you will have less trouble.

So you've lost $3,000? I smell bulls**t here sorry, no way would you'd be making more than that hosting on shared hosting.. If you made that you'd buy a Dedicated server and co-locate it and get techs to manage it.

For this amount of earnings I would really recommend getting your own dedicated server or high end VPS/cloud. It is for your own convenience and reliability of your service you will not be losing money due to the faults of other reseller providers.
