SSL cpanel on my reseller domain
Posted by squibs, 03-05-2014, 05:42 AM | I've been told by my new reseller that while I can get http://mydomain.com/cpanel, I can't use https://mydomain.com/cpanel without ssl errors:
This was a fine detail I hadn't given any though to before the purchase. It seems to me pretty fundamental that a whitelabel reseller would be able to give their clients secure cpanel login under the whitelabel domain. Am I being unreasonable?

I wonder if you could get them to turn it on, that way you won't need to worry about them errors.

Posted by domaincart, 03-05-2014, 11:35 AM | No, he can't. Most Hosting providers disabled this access. http://...:2082 is forwarding to https://...:2083 automatically(so user see red alert on it's browser).

Make sure their WHOIS for that domain is Privacy Protected so it is not showing their company contacts all over.
