Brief Eleven2 Reseller Review..

Posted by Vypaz, 02-24-2014, 01:03 PM
After seeing this - http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1351471 I have decided to write a quick review on our Eleven2 Reseller Experience. -- So this is only a 5 week review on Eleven2 reseller plan, alot of people say its good for 3/6 month reviews, but as there a big host, and there is alot of talk about them on forums i thought i would write up a quick review. Sign up.. We signed up as at the time we were looking for a filler while we switched UK data centers, and then migrate over to the new servers with the rest of our nodes, we picked the R-100 and then doubled it using the WHT code, we were put on the xray.unisionplatforum server ( UK Based ) * mentioned here ( with a bad review about it ) -> http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1148966 Sign up was quick, service was good the doubling of the space/bandwidth was good, no worries about the support as of then! The first thing we noticed was of the CPU loads in the WHM, all average 4-8 throughout the day. At first we had problems with the IP blacklist of shared hosting, couldent email hotmail etc, a couple of support tickets trying to solve this got nowhere, as i understand they simply have to wait on hotmail etc etc, then one of the support guys mentioned we have a free dedicated ip to use ( why they didnt mention this in the first place i do not know ) .. And then, started the downtime and slow loading websites. We submitting many tickets about the loading times of the websites, and every time they said it was fine, or they would look into it, here is a screenshot of the site on eleven2, and now are new dedicated server nodes. ( Is a 30second loading time ok...no ) - See the differene between there speeds ( on there servers ) and the speeds on different ones. http://imgur.com/a/2HN7a And then the downtime issues... I submitted a fair few tickets about this, and normally they were responded to within 2-3 hours, although the once the live chat got stuck on 7 in the queue so we waited...and waited...and no response, we submitted a ticket @ 18:53 and got a response at 23:33, didnt get the reason why until 5am that morning, see attached screenshot with all the downtime notifications in one day ( 12th) I think the longest time was on the 10th of Jan for about 30 minutes or so.. http://i.imgur.com/Xrq1CSC.jpg -- Also a couple of times i had to report slow server/websites and they responded with there was a bad user on the server, but if the servers are monitored well enough, surely spikes in CPU and bad users shouldent have to be alerted by the paying customers, its what you pay to be done by the host. -- There a good host with good support, and alot of reviews say there good, either that or i got a bad server, there good for beginners in reseller im guessing, and either that or we were used to our stable dedicated servers and this is what reseller servers are like in other providers. The server must of been over sold, considering how can you scale on all double upgrades on the packages, and then cope with the scale of it. the loading times were poor and they never realy fixed this. Support 8/10 Speeds 3/10 Uptime i think finished at 96% For price and specs there good, and in the end they did help us with everything we needed apart from the loading times of the websites, which is a pretty important thing for a reseller account, right? But after looking around on the internet, and various other forums, speed and uptime seem to be a ever bigger occurrence in there servers. We have now migrated out, and back on our own servers. Bad luck, or just a bad server?

Well... now they have a problem with litespeed or something like that and my site are "down" well.. I had to delete the .htaccess file and my wordpress work, but only the main site. don't even try to go to a page.

I'm amazed of how there can still be people willing to try Eleven2. Just do an Advanced Search o WHT and enter "Eleven2", you will see hundreds of threads complaining about their services. I always have a look at WHT prior wasting my time trying a new host, and in the case of Eleven2, WHT is already telling me: "STAY AWAY!" Forewarned is forearmed

Eleven2 really went downhill fast over the past few weeks. I'm moving my sites to my a VPS with another company.
