www.pro-hosting-services.com SCAM!!

Posted by cbogedain, 06-22-2013, 12:41 AM
FYI, Do not use paul h holmen 's webhosting. He goes by a couple different web companys and pc business. He is supposedly located in alma, Michigan and have a business license but he actually doesn't. I am currently starting a lawsuit up because I gave him $220 for dedicated servers that I knew the price was too good to be true but figured paypal would back me up if he scams but they didn't. pro-hosting-services took my money and never gave me anything but excuses in email for about a month then a reported him. I am currently going to take him to small claims court to refund my money. I have all kinds of emails to prove this. So do not use him!!!!! thanks for listening Corey

You do know you most likely will have to go to his state to serve him at court right?

Posted by cbogedain, 06-22-2013, 01:52 AM
Yup I know. I only live about 60 miles from him so I am looking forward to it

This guy could at least give appropriate credit to BurstNet if he's going to rip off their entire 'About' page: http://www.pro-hosting-services.com/about-us/ Pro-Hosting-Services Technologies, Inc.™ is a world-wide leader in Web Hosting and Internet Solutions. The privately held company, based in North-Eastern Pennsylvania, services clientele in over 100 countries around the world. Pro-Hosting-Services® began in 1995 as a computer hardware/software retail firm and distributorship. Shortly after incorporating in late 1996, the company quickly made the transition to providing internet services. Pro-Hosting-Services® established itself in the industry prior to the explosion of the web hosting market... Beware He may also pop under www.rackhostllc.com - it's never too late for FrontPage 5. If you don't mind me asking how do you know he ripped off the whmcs web software? The more evidence I have against him the better I look. Even if I don't get my money back as long he doest rip anyone else off would make me feel better Thanks for the information! Anything else you can help with would be great. Thanks again Corey

Corey, I'm not sure exactly what type of interaction(s) you've had with this individual, but out of curiosity -- Are you absolutely sure "Paul" (as you know him) exists and lives in Alma, Michigan? My first concern when I read something like this is that the company and individual you've been corresponding with are just a clever front for a scam artist living a few thousand miles away. Also, his main site and "About Us" page took well over 30 seconds to load. Not a good sign.

From what I have seen and researched his name is paul holmen. I am even talking with another guy on FB that is having same issue with the same guy and is during that guy. This paul guy has a pro hosting Facebook page which is linked to his personal page which then has his personal cell and he says he is from Alma mi. I am very good with finding what I need when I need it so it was easy to find info on this guy. I also have a family member that is a private investigator if I need more. He has had a couple BS companies he did this with. The guys picture even looks shady. Corey

The domain has been going up & down all day. That one and all the others I found with the email address used in the DNS zones. According to their "company" page, the OP is not the only one to experience this. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Pro-h...90034231096760 I will also note - quietly - that there does [appear] to be a match with a personal Facebook page I found, and I must say, I'm not shocked in the least.

Hmm, it is possible you are dealing with a somewhat reckless scammer that takes little precaution in letting his personal information surface. But, for all we know, you may be dealing with someone more sophisticated that went through great lengths to create the appearance of an identity (including a trail to a FB page, etc). Keep on researching. The outcome will be quite interesting.

Yep, very little interaction over the course of a year and a half on this page, but all of the recent visible comments are complaints and warnings.

I (Steven) wish you the BEST of luck on this cbogedain. You have our full support in making sure this gets taken care of. We have reported this company as well. Our WHMCS ticket ID is #ALN-670861 and awaiting for a response. If there is anything else we can do please let us know.

Yikes well I wouldn't of used them in the first place if I was OP because the logo looks like a kid did it. But this is one of the comments on his page, so it's been happening for a while. "They guy who runs this company is shady. He cannot support himself so who prays on clients who are dumb enough to loan him money. I would never recommend this place to anyone unless you was looking to have your site down more than it is up and to be spammed by the owner Paul Holmen. He makes false promises to people hoping they will buy his service so he can have some money. I have been lied to more than once from this guy and I find it funny when he tries to cover his tracks." Oh it's defo Paul Holmen I just saw this: Paul Holmen You Now Can Contact Us For Web Hosting Services & PC Repair Services on the Following at Gmail Email & Google talk At salesprohosting@gmail.com Yahoo IM prohostincUSA@ymail.com AOL Aim P.H.S.USA.INC@aim.com Skype at prohostingservices With a link to his profile: http://www.facebook.com/paul.holmen What does he look like haha. Doesn't he look hot like a woman? http://sphotos-d.ak.fbcdn.net/hphoto..._7923459_n.jpg His 34 years old. Anyway sorry to hear OP that you've been lurred into a scammer host but there are loads out there sadly. I hope you get it sorted because he doesn't care and soon you will get your money back and if you team up with the other people who've had issue & WHMCS DCMA well he will be out of business soon. Good Luck. Last edited by Atlanical-Mike; 06-22-2013 at 03:52 PM.

http://jetfi.re/datacenter (directs to FB photo) At least we know why the site's been loading so fast! Okay, now that the dead horse has been beaten to a bloody pulp, I think I'll go pick a fight with someone & hope they knock me out hard enough to forget that these 'companies' exist in the first place.

haha that picture made me laugh, running the latest centos 2 ;D

Posted by cbogedain, 06-22-2013, 05:32 PM
I greatly appreciate it. I will definately be pursuing this because he is not.just doing this to me but to tons of other people.

Posted by Unorthodox, 06-22-2013, 08:09 PM
You might have better luck looking into the host that he gathers his service from. From a little research into the site it looks like hes using CloudFlare for his primary DNS solutions but his MX records appear to be pointing to a HostGator server. I wouldn't swear to it but it looks like gator98. You can try creating a ticket requesting that they look further into this for you as they have a 0 tolerance policy for scams and spams. On that note, I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors.

Tucked away behind CloudFlare, yes, but S*ftL*y*r (obfuscated for obvious reasons) IPs in Dallas SWIPed to him... Last edited by Postbox; 06-22-2013 at 08:27 PM.

I took a minute today and gave him a last chance email explaining that I would drop all this if he returned my money and he still is giving me a run around. I didn't go into detail just that I have a lawyer and will be going after him. So far everything you guys have posted I have screenshots and also reported and put info across the internet. So as far as I care I have already won my money back. What this guys does is doesn't sell dedicated servers or VPS on ebay he just sells the simple cpanel accounts on ebay then when he has you on that he then sends you email about these servers. So you don't see his TOS which says that he doesn't give refunds no matter what. If I would have seen that I would have never paid for these. Learned my lesson now. No big deal money can be replaced but wrecking his SO CALED BUSINESS is priceless. THANK YOU ALL FOR THIS INFO. If you can find anymore please post for me. The more the better cause this guy must be feeling like a jacka** now. Corey

Hi this is funny after me searching if Paul Holme's web hosting is still alive if he still have been scamming people like what he did to my clients which use to be his clients just notice that there was a tread here in WHT about this scammed at first to let you guys know i know this guy very well as i am the one who help this guy out to get a free server for 1 year and regret that i have help this guy out for getting the full one year of free server credit since i have starting to notice that he has started scamming lot of people over so called a place where we sell our product yes he is my competitor and i still help him out to get a free 1 year credit of servers since i felt bad for the guy when he told me that he cant find a decent job because of hes record when he committed a 1 time mistake which is a crime of writing a 10,00 bad check... no i am looking for his actual site so that i can actually get in his server buy a 1 cpanel account that will cost me $2 and load up his server and until it crash to the ground using the bot hacking tools and uploading symlink php tools if any one knows this guys new website please let me know so that i can finish my mission with him since it looks like his website no longer works..

His 'about page' is a cut and paste from Burstnet including "Shortly after incorporating in late 1996,"

Has anything happened with this as of yet? I am curious to find out.

Posted by Vex76, 09-10-2013, 10:52 PM
Keep us informed, we need to see at least one of these scammers dealt with properly.

He's now trading under MyHostLLC.net Report this site, owned by the same guy.

And, when you have done that, you too become the criminal and will be pursued by the Fed's. Go ahead, if you'd care to go to jail !
