You can log into paypal and cancel the subscription payments.

From that PDF if looks like you were constantly asking basic questions while they were setting up the server. You claimed to know nothing about CentOS, but still questioned everything they did?

Posted by KingAdmin, 06-22-2008, 12:59 PM
That was the whole point, xuejing specifically mentioned he knew nothing about linux when we first talked to him on MSN, we agreed to perform remote OS installation for him provided that he gives us access to KVM. Later on it turned out he had no idea what KVM was and we agreed to assist him during OS installation by telling him what to do in each centOS installation step. He managed to do it but then couldn't enable networking. After 2 days of struggle and many hours on MSN he finally put the server online using dynamic IP in his office. Once we got ssh access we quickly installed cpanel for him, setup DNS and everything else he requested initially + our security/optimization. Next day he decides he is not going to use this server and will also not send it to the datacenter. He decides to cancel the project after we setup everything for him.

xuejing: Please reach us via email or MSN like we've been asking you and we'll sort this out.

And by the way our billing shows that funds were sent back to you for that server management you decided you didn't want. I suggest you check your next credit card statement since you paid us with credit card. If you have questions contact us via email/MSN.

I've worked with ServerWizards in the past, and their work is very good. Never had any issues with them and I recall them being very prompt to our needs.

Posted by AvailNetworks, 06-23-2008, 09:11 PM
I am also curious about the refund credit I had requested as well. Haven't been updated in almost a month

Posted by KingAdmin, 06-24-2008, 03:38 AM
Please check the ticket that you have opened with us regarding this matter.

Posted by Voyeur, 06-24-2008, 03:46 AM
I have also very good things to say about them. They setup and manage multiple servers for me and I've never had any problems with the work they do for me. They are always very polite and professional in their replies.

Posted by barko, 07-03-2008, 10:31 AM
We have had multiple servers with SW for 5 years - no one is perfect, and as every management company will tell you (who is truthful), they all make mistakes from time-to-time...but SW has always been fair with us. Polite and professional. It sounds like a bit of confusion on the customer's end ;-)

Posted by AvailNetworks, 07-04-2008, 02:18 AM
I got the ticket, put in the request on 6/25 and still have not received the refund as promised.

Please watch the ticket you have with us instead of posting here.

I do have a quick question on the observations made, why do you have to refund so many customers?

Posted by KingAdmin, 07-04-2008, 08:53 AM
Lol, just two customers and that's because we were overworked and couldn't complete their setups on time.

Posted by BookMarc, 07-16-2008, 04:17 PM
no offense and i hope you take this as a positive criticism ... but i would *NOT* be laughing about refunds and not meeting times lines after accepting an order. plus from your comments above it seems you all are overworked (as you said yourself) and under staffed another bad sign. just my 2 cents.

Posted by KingAdmin, 07-16-2008, 04:32 PM
I am not laughing about it, we've already hired more staff to process all orders more efficiently. Besides we are not the only server management company that gets overworked, we get a lot of requests from clients that want service from us because other companies take too long to take care of them.

Posted by BookMarc, 07-16-2008, 04:39 PM
1) i can see a "LOL" in the post which is why i said i wouldnt be laughing. 2) like i said just consider it as a positive criticism ... i dont know you or anyone in your company have never dealt with you guys so i cant comment one way or another. 3) like i said no offense meant. just what i thought reading your post. THE END!! BTW: i see more refund issues here >>> http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=679856 THE END!! I realy mean it this time around

I, too, signed up for server management with Server Wizards a few months ago. I put in a ticket asking them to look over my server security and upgrade the kernel. There it sat for 7 days...every day someone giving me an excuse about a "major problem in the datacenter"...and every day someone promising me my ticket would be looked into right away. Needless to say, they never ended up doing anything. In fact, they never even logged into the server once in that 7 days. Ended up having to file a PayPal dispute to get a refund because they obviously weren't interested in doing their job.

Posted by ozmo, 07-17-2008, 08:01 PM
This is basically a mirrored reflection of my experience with SW recently (resolved yesterday). They never logged on to my server and basically just kept giving excuses. However, I did receive a full refund. If it wasn't for my post on WHT, I don't think I would have heard from them again. I certainly don't think I would have got my money back. I would definitely not recommend anyone use these people or person.

Posted by KingAdmin, 07-18-2008, 01:54 AM
Yesterday you said "I am more than happy to have you continue working on my server", we weren't giving excuses, it was you who changed root password few days after ordering service from us, we even wanted to perform the security work for you as well as refund you. Either way, as mentioned earlier we did hire more staff and are able to process new orders more efficiently.

Posted by ozmo, 07-18-2008, 11:12 AM
OMG, I cannot believe this guy. Now, to clarify a few of his comments... Yesterday I actually said... "I am more than happy to have you continue working on my server if you could please just provide me with a log of the work performed thus far as well as the time you have spent on my server. I would appreciate it. Thanks" The reason I requested the log and/or proof of work performed so far, was because you or your so called "colleague" did not once even attempt to access my server. I don't know if you are familiar with the command [last -#] It is not difficult to track root activity. Uhmm... I would consider passing the buck on to your coworkers (if there are actually any) an excuse, wouldn't you? Yes, I sure did change my root password but not until THE FIFTH DAY (going on sixth) OF NO ACTIVITY, NOT EVEN AN ATTEMPT TO ACCESS MY SERVER!! The reason being was that I had decided you were not the type of company I wished to do associate with. As I realized I could not rely on you. Immediately after I changed the password I sent you the following email... "Hi, Could you please refund my payment immediately. The total was $75. Thank you." To which you (surprisingly) replied almost immediately... "Rob but we almost completed security audit. Why did you change root password? We can refund you part of the payment you made because it took us longer than expected but please let us finish the work. If you let us know root password we'll have everything ready including the report in next few hours." Now, call me stupid, but did you not also say in a later email.... "I won't be able to check with the technician what has been done..." I am confused. You state that you are almost complete, yet at the same time you don't know what has been done! As well as this slight contradiction, you also claim that you are unable to provide me with any form of proof of work or shell access because you were not able to access the "other technician's" records. ARE YOU FOR REAL?? If you spent as much time actually working as you do posting on forums, making excuses and dealing with Paypal disputes you might actually have a business to be proud of. <> Last edited by Alex; 07-21-2008 at 02:06 PM.

I'm starting to think I got stiffed by this guy, too. I've been waiting for a refund for weeks. They keep telling me "We have to transfer funds to our PayPal account" right. Anytime I've had to transfer funds it doesn't take weeks to do! If they aren't willing to cooperate, I will initiate a chargeback. I'm going to give them a chance to avoid the stain on their seller history and just refund me, first.

Posted by gpl24, 07-21-2008, 02:44 AM
Looks as though I got a refund today!

Posted by ozmo, 07-21-2008, 05:33 AM
Coincidence? WHT post = $ refund

Posted by kotique, 07-30-2008, 08:37 AM
ozmo, this is true in most cases. Companies don't want to be blamed on public, cause new clients tend to search for bad reviews on internet before they decide to use the company's services.
