Worst Experience With Skynethosting

Posted by CustomizeWHMCS, 10-16-2013, 05:37 PM
Hi WHT, I signed up for a reseller account with skynethosting, Paid $4.95 by 2co as thats the first months price. After about 14 hours invoice was still marked as unpaid so i contacted support and said i was disappointed as i was waiting ages for my account to be setup, most providers here are almost instant! I then got a welcome email saying my account had been setup. Their plan includes Free dedi IP WHMCS & SSL, i put an order in for them hours ago today roughly about 8.45am i waited up until now 22.25pm tried contacting live support and they just ignore you!! Anyone else here had a bad experience with these guys? Last edited by CustomizeWHMCS; 10-16-2013 at 05:38 PM. Reason: Spelling error

Have you tried contacting their billing/accounts dept. if they have one? Sometimes the tech support may not be able to assist you if there's an issue with the billing that may be interrupting the account provisioning process.

Yes i contacted the support desk numerous times now. Thing i dont understand is why join a live chat then ignore me? The support operator was daniel johnson or johnston I had a nice reply from tina one of their support reps but other than that worst hosting experience ive had so far.

Sorry you've had a bad experience with this provider. They have a rep here, who I hope can solve your issue for you, if they are ignoring you and your fed up of waiting, get a refund and go elsewhere. It's one thing with late orders, sometimes API's break but being ignored is worse.

I'd suggest you submit support ticket to billing department.

I hope they deal with it sooner rather than later, your accounts don't make them look very good at all!

So they didn't provide the included free in your account? If they can't offer this, then file a charge back. For me, if I order something and charged me but didn't provide it, then it is consider as fraud.

Free dedi IP WHMCS & SSL" for $4.95?

Posted by Cloud24, 10-17-2013, 01:20 AM
I agree OP, keep in mind that you get what you pay for, however it sure did take quite some time to have your account setup.

Posted by net, 10-17-2013, 01:23 AM
The way I read it is that his account is setup already. He just didn't receive the freebies... it is a question mark though.

Posted by NameVictor, 10-17-2013, 02:41 AM
The OP started it was $4.95 for the first month.

Posted by ExonHost, 10-17-2013, 03:11 AM
They setup account manually and send instruction how to request free addon on welcome email. I think OP didn't read welcome email. He must be submit support ticket to billing department to get free addons.

Posted by HostMantis, 10-17-2013, 09:19 AM
You are correct! It's $4.95 for the first month and $19.95 thereafter.

I love that they posted in the webhosting forums before I went to bed and are posting on the forum... But some how missing this thread...

I was with them for a few months. When i registered, it took about a day for my new account information to be sent to me, so i suggest you wait until 24 hours and send them a ticket after,

We offer many extra features such as WHMCS, Domain Reseller, SSL Reseller, End User Support, MyCompanyWeb, Reseller Templates, 2CO Account etc with this plan so its really not possible to enable all these features instantly or by default. The clients welcome email has instructions on how to enable each service and most services such as enabling End User Support, MyCompanyWeb etc takes up to 24-48 hours to be setup and this is mentioned in the clients welcome email.

Tina is from Billing Department and Daniel is from Technical Support so if you ask any billing related questions from technical department they might not be able to help you. However, if you think they have ignored you I'm more than happy if you could file a complain to feedback[@]skynethosting.net from your billing email so I can check your chat logs with him.

That was what i thought...

Posted by SkyNetHosting, 10-18-2013, 07:36 AM
let's not jump on the bandwagon here ... OP is not getting all these features for $4.95/Month, he's just getting the plan for $4.95 for the first month as we are running a promo. He will be billed at normal rate $19.95/Month. I think OP mentioned that himself.

Anyone else get a kick out of "Ages" ? Many reputable providers wont do instant setups in order to prevent fraud. This is typically done WITH additional fraud guards in place. Relax and give them a chance to get your free add-ons to you. If it doesn't work out THEN you request a refund and move on, but until that point arrives I'd advise patience. (It is a virtue few people have these days).

Well skynethosting has to be one of the worst hosting providers ive ever been with. I dont know much about web hosting/ servers etc but what i do know is my website has been down for hours now and apparently there is a motherboard issue on my server?? could anyone here please tell me how long it would take to resolve this issue? Also can anyone here recommend a good web hosting provider as ive had enough of skynethosting now. Thanks People

This actually made me giggle!! they have told me numerous times that the server will be up in 2 hours. I first asked at 4.35pm GMT it is now 22.15 GMT this is unacceptable Hello. There are some issues with the motherboard of this server. We are currently the hard drives on this server to a different identical server. Once hard drives are moved to the new server, verything should be working as usual. update1: Your servers faulty motherboard swap is almost complete and we are planning to bring the server back online after proceeding with few further checks. I'll update your shortly once the server is back online. update2: Our data center technicians gotten the server chassis swapped out. Unfortunately, it seems that in addition to the chassis issue that we had found, there is still an issue with the servers main OS drive and the hard drive needs to be replaced as the boot sector of the hard drive is not responding. Right now we are taking a full live backup from the current hard drive so data can be be restored to the new hard drive without any data loss. It would take approximately 2 hours to re-install OS and cPanel on the new drive and about another 1 hour to restore all data. We expect the server to be back online within 3-4 hours. Best Regards, SkyNetHosting.Net Inc.
