I have used them for one week now. And I'm very happy. Got my server within 24 hours. Fast and good support. Good costs, and the best: The servers are managed.

Thank you for the good word Kenneth! For the record, we offer a 100Mbps port and not a 00Mbps Port

I really like these guys, server is awesome and they have a customer control panel that gives you total control of your server. Dont hesitate.

Laws - where is your datacenter - or who are you associated with? I couldn't find that info on your site.

Support was great while I had a server with them. They were very helpful in decissions concerning my server. Everytime I had any questions or concerns Nick went well above and beyond my support plan and made my stay very comfortable. I really have no complaints as far as uptime or anything of the sorts as far as what I experienced. They left my server up for a little while after cancelling which would could be a gripe or a plus. But I will definitely do business with them next time Im in the market for one.

I used these guys for a few months just for a test box I needed to try some beta software on. They were always fast to reply and the server was just perfect.

I have just ordered server from them, so lets see how it goes

What is your connection to the internet, 100mbps!!!! Do you offer fully managed servers, Windows and Linux. I am shopping for one and looking for a host with 100mbps. could not locate any. RackSpace is good but I am looking for cheaper since my client does not want to pay much.

Posted by thomp256, 08-20-2006, 05:53 AM
Yes, does each server get a dedicated 100mbps to the internet?

Laws- Is the installation of a LAMP config on server setup considered out of the management plan's scope? Thanks!

Posted by rhytha, 09-26-2006, 04:11 AM
i hope not that thier after-sales support is not as bad as thier pre-sales support, since i have'nt heard from them for my enquirey which i had raised 2 days back via thier control panel(CCC) and have followed up by directly mailing to the emails listed on thier support page

Posted by Sleepy_Sentry, 09-26-2006, 07:02 AM
I emailed them over a week ago and never got a reply, too.

Posted by net, 09-26-2006, 07:23 AM
Maybe it is in your spam box or something? You should check it to make sure it is not blocked. I don't think they will not reply.

Posted by rhytha, 09-26-2006, 02:14 PM
No.I enquired using their CCC, they have not replyed to that as well.

I can't seem to raise their sites.

Same here autodelete.... Throught the day I cant reach managemybox.com, managemyservices.com, managemyhosting.com and I don't recall them being with Softlayer

Sorry, our main server has been having issues over the past several days resulting in severe delays. We are working through remaining issues and orders now.

How they hell can you give a managed server for $59. I don't understand. I wish i knew about you 12 hours ago. I just signup for a server for double that this morning.

No windows server there. I read on their site

Posted by Laws, 09-29-2006, 08:22 AM
Not sure what the issue is there, considering our TOS/AUP states no refunds and we gave customer a full refund I think we handled that in the best way possible, you won't find any provider who will give anything beyond that especially not on servers starting at $59 Also, as manager of ManageMyServices it is pretty simple why all responses were from me for that customer, though we do have other staff on-hand 24/7 for support.

Posted by jobinma, 09-29-2006, 09:54 AM
I don't know these guys from managemyX (they have 3 different sites) but what I can say about the thread is that : - Not doing back up is the best way to be pissed off! - Canceling a server (or anything else) without doing a back up before is not the best idea ever! (when you cancel... be ready to loose everything). That said... with their no-refund policy, I think that they had handled the case the best way it could.

Posted by jerett, 09-29-2006, 10:37 AM
I agree - when you cancel or ask for a refund - you make sure you do it after you have already pulled your data. Many places - even shared hosting - will whipe the slate clean once the process has begun to free up space or - in their case - a box ready to deploy to the next customer. They fully did what they were suppose to do.

Humm i'm not able to add urls, do a search and find my running topic. "managemybox.com - Customer dispappointment" I have an 8 day outstanding open ticket. After following up with reminders i have had no replies. with screen shots. I do feel they have taken my money and run. I cant see me reccomending there service in the future. My experience. M.Scottt

Posted by jobinma, 10-02-2006, 09:53 AM
Waiting for an answer on that! Except for this unanswered ticket.... how is the service ? Was it your first ticket ?? If not, how were the time response the other times ? Just want to know!

Posted by Mark2s, 10-02-2006, 10:07 AM
To be fair, it started off okay. 24hrs and the issue would be resolved. As in the very first open issue i sent. They seem to hold you into 12hr responses, and i have never when everything was okay had a reply under 11hrs. Its only my second ticket ive opened and that's the one that's 8 days old. The first ticket i done i asked for the time zone to be changed and hardened, and the time zone wasnt updated, it was missed so even with the first ticket i had to reply pointing out this. But again, in a 12hr que. I dont think i can comment on there service other than what ive posted, which is there response times as i'm getting a raw deal. And ignored. O yeh, which ever department i have sent an issue to its always a reply from Nick. Hope that helps. Its my first month with them New Customer.

If they were so great, why did you leave them?

Posted by Mark2s, 11-22-2006, 08:47 PM
It seems that "Nick" is the only Driect Admin support person, try sending an e-mail to the wrong department ? You get a reply in 12hrs saying Forwarded to "Rick as this is more his field". Then 12hrs later Rick would reply, the e-mail was general advice. Its still beyond me how and why there are so many diffrent combinations to sending an e-mail, i think i counted 15 x 5 options. My situation was that i have my own box else where, so i guess i'm not that high up the apple tree. Ive left them now, as the replys we so late in being returned, and what frustrated me the most was the type of reply that said "This will be done shortly" - Why not reply with this is done? I did get 1 month free with them due to my first months hassels. Summary I guess they could be better, give it a month and decide your self, but i wouldnt recomened them. But who knows things may have improved ?

Posted by h4wk, 11-22-2006, 09:55 PM
It is all true. I like the expression. You feed them peanuts, you get monkeys. LOL

Posted by Laws, 11-23-2006, 11:44 AM
Agree with all your statements and yes you're correct, we moved into DirectAdmin too fast, didn't train existing staff properly and are now no longer offering DirectAdmin on both external and internal managed servers. (Site may say otherwise, it still needs updating, but we do not complete DA orders now). Our focus is on cPanel and PLESK and these are the panels we will be supporting in the future. I apologize for your negative experience but our support times have improved significantly now... mohamoud - I have addressed your issues in another topic, i'm not going to keep replying to these types of comments.

Great looking string of websites, great looking costs. Looks and sounds like a steal!

Posted by jobinma, 11-26-2006, 11:22 AM
Well... Why are you doing that kind of *free* statement ??? Does it help anyone here ??
