K-Disk.Net 1 Month Review

Posted by Mahfuz-SS-EHL, 01-05-2013, 02:24 PM
Hi, I have been being with K-Disk.Net for 1 month. I bought their plan from a offer: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1208348 I researched over that brand and got quite a good review and then interested taking them. After some days, I got a MySQL Spike on the server and they didn't even know about it. When I opened ticket, it drew their attention and then they told to wait while they solve it. Only one stuff was there named Dylan Shelton. He/She just tells to wait, wait, wait and wait. After that ticket, I didn't get any reply to my further tickets till today. Yet my tickets were set to closed without answering them. On their offer, they posted: • Regular Off Site Backup Service At No Additional Cost ( Where others like to charge you for keeping your data backed up, we provide daily off site backups at no additional fee. Even the best computer systems can go down, but our backup service ensures that even in the most catastrophic of failures your website data will be 100% safe and secure ) They didn't have an backup module !!!! WTF They also told: Is there a money back guarantee? Yes, we offer a 30 day money back guarantee. No questions asked! You have nothing to lose, no catches or gimmicks give us a try today. After about 25 days, I opened ticket for getting my refund. They didn't even replied to this ticket also. See the screenshots also: http://i50.tinypic.com/2usda37.png http://i45.tinypic.com/35ap4jo.png I would give them 00 out of 10. They are completely scammers to me. SO, BE AWARE OF K-DISK.NET AND NEVER REGISTER WITH THEM !

cPanel has its own backup solution or you can simply disable that and use Rsync to a remote location you don't need a module or plugin.

Posted by Mahfuz-SS-EHL, 01-05-2013, 02:42 PM
Hey, you didn't understand. If i keep my own backup then what are the meanings of the words ?? Don't I know abt cpanel ?? Now, will you teach me how cpanel looks like ??

Posted by ~Lee~, 01-05-2013, 02:45 PM
What are you actually looking for in terms of their backup? Just because you can't see it does not mean the are not making regular backups, if it's an Rsync for example you will not actually be able to see that.

You r right. Bt i tell each & every word with proves. I opened ticket for it. They don't have any backuping system & They are not planning to provide it in the future. so clients should keep own backup. now tell is it carrying the same meaning as they told it in their offer ??

Posted by ~Lee~, 01-05-2013, 02:53 PM
I am pretty sure that they will keep backups in the event of a server failure that means they can restore it. However no matter what a provider offers in terms of backups you should never rely on them to keep your data safe. They are just not providing a system that you can use directly other than cPanelWHM You are like every other person in the world, responsible for your own backups.

I'm sorry you were not satisfied with their service. I hope you'll be able to resolve it with them. In the future, always do your backup and save it on your computer.

I know a lot of providers, who makes nightly backup but users are not able to access it. This is for disaster recovery purpose most likely. However, as I do not have any insider information, may be Ftn-Chris or Manndude can provide more useful info and support.

Sorry to hear about your negative experience Try to PM FTN-Chris or MannDude on the forums to get this situation resolved.

Why do you even request refunds like this? That is unprofessional on your part and with the type of attitude you carry I am sure there was other nasty tickets submitted by you. Image attached to my reply, since tiny-pic most likely wont host those images for much longer (I am sure they expire) FYI I understand they ignored your ticket, but you should remain professional. Didn't you notice that I asked for my refunds on 6 December, but they didn't have a look into it and on 20th of December after 14 days, I again replied to the ticket. Do you think that A reply with positive or negative attitude needs 14 days time ?? They can simply tell me that it's not possible/We will refund you soon/ but, 14 days have gone no reply !!!!!! Isn't it disgusting ?? Am I their toy that whenever they want they reply whenever not they don't reply. I have paid for and I have the right to get my reply of tickets !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I understand your frustration but here's a little tip: You may think that you're ruining K-Disk by posting this, but you're actually hurting yourself too. You're showing other companies, people, and potential clients that you're not the kind of web host that they'd like to have. So basically to sum it all up, a potential client interested in your hosting would look at this thread and think 1) You have a low budget and you did all this for just $3.77 .... 2) You're disrespectful and probably won't respect them if they signed up with you 3) You don't think logically 4) You choose to be aggressive instead of handling situations in a better way 5) You're probably going to be hosting them from a reseller account if they sign up with you

I think this is what he is missing..

Posted by Michaelz, 01-06-2013, 05:11 PM
Hopefully he understands it and this thread doesn't turn into another epic of a guy making a fool of himself over a pittance.

It's sad to see this thread.. I remember when k-disk actually launched like 5+ years ago by Keith as after all he is called Keith Myers and well it's K-disk. He sold it a year or so ago. I wonder what he makes of this, probably disappointed. I was with them right up until he sold it but as my account was free they obviously didn't want me getting it free so I moved host. Good luck with your refund.

Another great post from this user.. this http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=1221167

Posted by ArtieT, 01-06-2013, 08:40 PM
Pay peanuts, expect the world. For $3.77 I would move on, but I think something more is going on here.

Posted by WriteHow, 01-06-2013, 09:16 PM
RSS-Artie I don't think that there is something more. The OP thinks that they have "rape" him with 3.77$ thats all

Posted by ~Lee~, 01-06-2013, 09:26 PM
Whilst I agree the OP is not doing himself any favours he is entitled to a service, the provider offers it for a price, whether that is $1 or $20 it makes no difference. The lengthy delays in answering tickets does seem very long and not like a URpad service. So either the OP is not telling us something or he is simply not getting a response, in which case I can understand his frstration.

I think that you are the member who sent me a PM regarding a confidential issue. You are right, once I was a great fool and thought to get quite a good service on that budget. And this taught me many useful things which will help me to choose better provider from now. But, I didn't post it to ruin any company. I just posted it because WHT Community Liason told me to post a review. I will again and again tell that nobody should go with this host who never respects their clients. And the behavior you are talking about, I was so much respectful to them until my last ticket reply. On the last reply, getting no other way, I replied like this. Previously, I opened 6 tickets on which everytime I thanked them and asked my question politely. But, a person can't keep his mouth shut when it greatly hurts him !!

Posted by Mahfuz-SS-EHL, 01-07-2013, 02:34 AM
You are so kind to realize my condition. They didn't offer me a little respect, if they have it they could only tell me hello/hi.

Posted by Mahfuz-SS-EHL, 01-07-2013, 02:36 AM
Don't you think so ?? If you were me, you could understand how the feelings were at that time !

Posted by ArtieT, 01-07-2013, 03:49 AM
I want to know how you compare rape to not getting a refund of $3.77. Sorry, a gallon of gas prices more then that. Just move on. If you weren't a provider the story would be different.

Posted by Mahfuz-SS-EHL, 01-07-2013, 05:09 AM
Lol. You are right. Thanks dude. I've already moved to another. Now, using EZPZ, HostingCove & Upreseller.

Posted by bdwebservices, 01-07-2013, 01:36 PM
Why you are ignore BD Web Services? Are You Unhappy with our service?

Posted by WriteHow, 01-07-2013, 02:04 PM
Look i understand your feelings but we are still talking about $3. Move on!

Posted by Michaelz, 01-07-2013, 02:04 PM
How did the OP specifically refer to you in the quote you mention?

Posted by Mahfuz-SS-EHL, 01-07-2013, 02:27 PM
Bcz, I was his client and also running client.

Posted by Mahfuz-SS-EHL, 01-07-2013, 02:29 PM
Wait bro, wait. I will give you so much nice review after my exam has ended. K-Disk should be reviewed quickly, so I did so. Yours will be memorable. Thanks dude

Posted by bdwebservices, 01-07-2013, 02:40 PM
Thank you... Best and Best wishes for you

Posted by KMyers, 01-08-2013, 05:57 PM

Posted by SeriesN, 01-08-2013, 06:01 PM
Suspicious indeed + Add both of em are from almost same location. Last edited by SeriesN; 01-08-2013 at 06:06 PM.

So he is asking for review?

Posted by harrison914, 01-08-2013, 07:25 PM
This thread is crazy O.o we want reviews posted for service exchange?

Posted by Michaelz, 01-09-2013, 12:26 AM
Wouldn't be the first time this occurs. I wouldn't make too much fuzz of these guys and the games they are playing.

Posted by JixHost, 01-14-2013, 09:08 PM
3 a month for a master reseller? How many of these master resellers do they need to place on a server to make it viable for the provider? I'm not surprised the service is not up to OPs par.

Posted by Mahfuz-SS-EHL, 01-15-2013, 08:45 AM
I have a returning customer from Jixhost also

Posted by bear, 01-15-2013, 09:23 AM
So, you two know each other? Were you asked to review them, or rewarded in some way?

Posted by Mahfuz-SS-EHL, 01-15-2013, 09:38 AM
Yes, I know them as I started my hosting business from taking a reseller from them. And they have not asked me to review them but I think I should review them as I used their services for about 1 Year.

Posted by bear, 01-15-2013, 01:15 PM
Please contact us using this link with something to show that experience. (thread returned to being on topic with some removed posts)

Posted by Mahfuz-SS-EHL, 01-19-2013, 08:56 AM
I couldn't understand. Can you explain what the link does ??

Posted by bear, 01-19-2013, 09:40 AM
That will open a ticket with the help desk, so you can submit something to prove this: "with K-Disk.Net for 1 month" claim. We ask that anyone reviewing a host (good or bad) be prepared to prove they were actually hosted there and have first hand personal experience. This is to prevent someone from signing up just to ruin a hosts reputation or something of that nature.
