Hi, You can also look for cacti, MRTG, and PRTG (Free Version). Those are also great tool with good graphical representation on it for you to look. Give it a thought on this too. Check the features and compare them to get most from the open source products.

You can monitor the router port with cacti where the specific computer is connected and you will be able to see that certain computer BW usage. Also you can connect the computer directly to the cacti server via SNMP. And there is the "Realtime" plugin which can show you the BW usage in a real time. For more info take a look at http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=26662 Another option will be to install dd wrt on your router if it is supported or buy a small and cheap mikrotik router (I'm talking about home/small office usage) which will also do the job for you. You can find decent mikrotik for 50-60 USD I'm not sure of any other tool with GUI which will do better job, but hey, it is a big forum.

Apart from those monitoring tool, have ever thought of using "awstats" This will give you the amount of usage the account is having. Go through this tool too.

Hello, You can use BandwidthD for monitoring network bandwidth. BandwidthD tracks usage of TCP/IP network subnets and builds html files with graphs to display utilization. Charts are built by individual IPs, and by default display utilization over 2 day, 8 day, 40 day, and 400 day periods. Furthermore, each ip address's utilization can be logged out at intervals of 3.3 minutes, 10 minutes, 1 hour or 12 hours in cdf format, or to a backend database server. HTTP, TCP, UDP, ICMP, VPN, and P2P traffic are color coded. BandwidthD runs on most platforms including windows. Required libraries for unix are only: libpcap, libgl and libpng. It has a good GUI too. Thanks, Jaijo

NetWorx and SolarWinds are also good tools to monitor the bandwidth usage. They also provide GUI.
