Reliable Master Reseller

Posted by virtualk, 01-02-2012, 05:17 AM
Hi Im looking for a reliable master reseller. I'v come across a few on the net but read terrible things on forums and dont trust them. My requirements are: (the basics) Must be able to let clients resell cpanel accounts clients must have access to their own whm unlimited sql databases, email, ftp 50 gig disk space (minimum) 500 gig data transfer (minimum) looking to spend +/- $20 p/m Must have 24hour support via chat and be able to transfer 25 cpanel accounts from current service provider. Can someone please recommended a few that are trust worthy?

The two that come to mind are K-disk and EZPZ Hosting. K-disk has seemed to have some trouble recently, so I'd recommend searching this forum for reviews of both providers. As far as your budget, it's quite low for the amount of resources you're looking for -- especially for a master reseller account (and both of these providers are a bit more expensive than what you budgeted).

EZPZhosting should be the perfect choice. I recently got to know that they have upgraded their end user system to better support the old ones.

I will also agree with Faris Aziz i have seen a lot of good reviews about their master reseller plans.

What better person to trust other then yourself! Go with your very own vps, by default it's a master reseller since you get root access... you can sell whm accounts. With a vps, you are insulated from other accounts on the server unlike on a shared server (reseller account).

If you go with a Dedicated Server, it's even much better. Better sales and uptime too with much more ram/space/bandwidth.

The OP is looking for a reseller, what for recommend him a VPS or even dedicated servers? Those areas might be too expensive or complicated for someone who isn't savvy on servers... You should be raising your budget to find something reliable. Check out EZPZ Hosting.

have a look at namecheap or godaddy. They have better offer but I'm not sure they can help you to transfer all Cpanel account or not.

Master/Reseller is a ponzi scheme.

Agreed , it simply leads to overloaded servers.

1 I guess you want that on a Server with SSD disks, WHCMS and R1Soft backups as well for your $20 Sooner or later anyone who allows resellers to sell reseller accounts is going to end with a server that does not perform. If you truly need to be able to sell reseller, then you should avoid "master reseller Ponzi hosts" and up your budget and go for a VPS/Dedi. If it is too dear, go back and review your business plan. If you don't have a business plan, then go back and start there.

Thanks for the input guys, I really appreciate it. My situation is this, I had originally planned to start selling web hosting on a small scale and expand as i grow. I planned to use a standard reseller hosting plan which is readily available from most providers. Now iv come into contact with a web design company who are looking to move their hosting but they insist they need their own whm. (which i can't give them with a normal reseller plan) They are a pretty small company with just 20 clients but they plan to grow. They not willing to pay more than $30 p/m . I think this is a good opportunity because long term, i will also make money registering domains for them so would hate to lose them as a client. Hence my quest for a master reseller. Like JFSG said, a VPS or dedicated server might be too expensive and complicated for me to use. Does VPS come with WHM loaded?? I might consider going that router if i can find an affordable service provider.

One option would be to purchase a separate reseller account just for them and resell it to them. You won't have as much control over it as having a master reseller account, but it will expand your host options, and probably be easier to find in your budget. Some VPS providers offer cPanel licenses. Even with a fully managed VPS, there is a higher level of management that you'll have to put into it (and other resources, like backups and monitoring, that you'll have to consider) versus a reseller account.

Forget going with a master reseller head for a VPS + cPanel/WHM with a decent provider, I can recommend VPSLatch for this: http://www.vpslatch.net/vps.html
