PHP settings in cpanel, xcache

Posted by verbotten, 05-04-2015, 11:04 PM
I am configurig some of the settings in php in cpanel and wanted to set some sort of caching for wordpress. Server runs on LiteSpeed cloudLinux and I am configuring php5.4 and see two checkboxes, xcache and xcache_3, I have searched google for the past hour and couldn't find anything telling me which one does what. I know that thats Litespeed caching technology to save common repeating variables to bring down computing, but which one I select... are both stable? is one of them outdated? whats going on, no info.

Hi, As you are using php 5.4 , you have to use opcode cache in your server hence you cannot use "apc" and so on. You can proceed with xcache or xcache3. You can proceed with xcache3. If you are trying to enable this in any control panel based servers, you have to strictly follow their steps.

Remember to set your xcache.count to the # of cores on your server for maximum performance.
