We would like to purchase third party SSL and install to our hosting account. We need SSL for taking loan application on site. What SSL certificate you recommend and who is major reseller?

Wich control panel do you have? cPanel?

Comodo EssentialSSL, 35 bucks at namecheap. That's what we use. The PositiveSSL doesn't work on Android.

We will have cPanel. But host can also install third-party SSL for a small fee $5-10

Keep in mind, you tend to get more buyer confidence with a EV certificate, but the issuing process does take longer.

I would highly recommend EV certificates from a known place like Namecheap or something. You could get the EV SSL for around $145/year.

Well... don't quote me on that. It didn't work the couple times I did it and I didn't feel like messing with it, but I have heard that it is doable.

I've had problems with positive ssl before as well. Maybe they've fixed the issue. But since the issue, rapidssl has somewhat replaced positivessl with our customers. Price is somewhat comparable as well.

Where did you hear/see this? From what I have tested it seem to have worked just fine. - Daniel

What is major difference between Comodo PositiveSSL $9 and EssentialSSL $29?

Posted by jason2004, 03-27-2015, 09:05 AM
And is there 1year Comodo Free Extended Validation Upgrade?

Usually buy certificates with gogetssl. You find the EssentialSSL for less than $10.

WoSign does unlimited certificates & wildcard, for free. And you can request up to 100 domains (including subdomain & wildcard) at one time. https://buy.wosign.com/free/FreeSSL.html I've gotten at least 100 by now.
