E-Clicking Hosting, not honest people

Posted by ichthus1, 11-24-2011, 08:24 PM
I would like to say that this company is not worth hosting with. Due to delays in setting up my reseller account with them, I requested cancellation and my money refunded. This was agreed to by this guy Jake, and yet I have not been refunded, and my messages about my refund are now being ignored. I have now had to open a Paypal dispute. These sort of companies should be banned from these forums where they make promises to us that they simply cannot keep. Here is an email to me saying that they would refund me: **************************************** Andy, I have forwarded your ticket to billing, they will then deal with your refund. Regards, Jake K - Account Management & Marketing E-Clicking :: Hosting, Domains & Soo much more! ************************************************* YOU PEOPLE HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Sorry to hear your bad experience, From what I know, Jake operate and own that company - how come he is escalating the ticket to the billing when he himself can refund you the moment he receive your ticket. Would love to hear the another side of the story. But opening a paypal dispute will not get you the refund as it is an intangible assets and the seller will always win the case.

How much do you pay them for web hosting? Just curious.

UPDATE: well there has been no response from this guy "Jake K", if this is his real name. Its not so much the amount that has been paid, but the principle of honesty in doing business. I am clearly told that I would be given a refund, which has not happened. Then I read here that this guy lies when he says that he has to refer my refund to another department, giving the false impression that it is a more than one man business, which is yet another lie. All my contacts have been ignored, and yet these sort of people are allowed to advertise freely on places like WHT, which seem to ignore ot disregard the fact that people like myself are being ripped-off on a daily basis! Even after a complaint with Paypal, who are themselves a rather crooked company, I can guarantee that nothing will be done, as this guy will be able to keep on trading with them. It is these indiciduals and companies that cause and encourage dishonesty to become the norm for many people, as we live in a very wicked world!

If I am not mistaken, people/companies who legitimately rip off their customer (taking money without providing a service) do get banned from WHT (or at least I think they do). With that being said, the reason I asked you what the amount was is to find out exactly what type of services you purchased from them. A good way to avoid these types of situations is by doing your DD (due diligence). If the deal sounds to good to be true, it probably is. In any case, sorry to hear you are having problems obtaining a refund.

I don't think Jake owns the company, from what I've heard he's an account manager there.

Just to note, I did not agree to your refund. I do not work with billing so I forwarded your ticket to billing, which at the time of the ticket, was out of working hours. I am sorry your experience hasn't been the best, however, I do believe you have indeed been refunded for this. To say our company is dishonest would be very far from the truth. Regards EDIT: Just to confirm, I do not own this company, I am an employee and I do not work for billing. Thanks.
