New Chrome Update - "Your connection to example.com is encrypted with obsolete crypto

Hi "Your connection to example.com is encrypted with obsolete cryptography." Is anybody getting this message? I am not sure what the error possibly is. Hosting Co are sure that it's nothing to do with them. Certs are SHA2 etc, any help please?

Haven't seen this anywhere so far. How old is your SSL cert? AFAIK Chrome displays this message for SHA-1 certificates, obviously your cert is SHA-1 and not SHA-2.

As a matter of fact I purchased a new Comodo yesterday, even that is showing this message. When I check with https://shaaaaaaaaaaaaa.com/ it tells me that it is indeed SHA2.

Have you contacted Comodo about this? It shouldn't be an issue as new cPanel versions (11.46.* and 11.48.* and higher) have disabled SHA1 by default. Anyway the hosting server sends whatever encryption your SSL certificate uses therefore I highly doubt it is a problem with your hosting server. To me it looks like a certificate problem or a Chrome bug that is triggered with specific certificates. Do other browsers show any similar warnings?

Make sure the CA cert (chain) is present and up to date.

Ok it has now been resolved, it was a glitch with the hosting co.

Can you elaborate on this please? What was the glitch?
