How can I do cpanel to cpanel migration if the source has already 90% disk space used?

Obviously, upgrade the drive or find the way to remove unneeded files to increase the available space. * Moved > Hosting Security and Technology.

Hi, If you are having root access to both servers, you can take backup skipping home directory , database etc. So that the cpanel backup only contatins configration files. Move the file to new server restore the backup then rsync the home directory of source with desitnation. Your problem is solved.

You can package the account without the homedir with /scripts/pkgacct --skiphomedir Then rsync the homedir separately.

How can I restore the /scripts/pkgacct --skiphomedir to the destination server?

In your case its better to skip database and home direcotry. You can use the below command to backup the account /scripts/pkgacct --skiphomedir --skipacctdb "username" The above command will backup user account skipping home direcotry and database backups. Once this is completed backup will be stored in /home/ location of your server You have to transfer the file to destination and restore the file there using the command. Make sure the backup file is in /home location of destination folder. /scripts/restorepkg username Once this is done entire configration files are migrated to new server. Then you have to manually migrate database and other home direcotry files using rsync. Hi, Instead of doing so much of manual process, you can opt out the homedir while transferring the account through WHM transfer tool. This will leave the homedirectory untransferred and all the accounts will be moved to the destination server without the Home directory and then you can sync the home directory. Transfer tool has this feature, please check this once. Do the rsync manually after all the accounts are being transferred.

Glad to know that you could migrate the account over, skip homedir is a good option when you have more number of accounts to be copied too. You can later on sync the home folders for the domain, provided you have the root access.
