I am looking at my eximstats table in phpmyadmin. I noticed that there are 240+ email messages sent by user= "remote". Does this mean that my server is sending out mail I don't know about - because I didn't set this up to send out mail like that.

Hi, Can you paste the complete log of this? Also cross reference this in the exim logs to see whether they are from user "remote" or in general from a remote host. Please check the exim log once and grep the output to view only work "remote"
