this is possible but may not good for you if you use any game, proxy or vpn or tunnel service. you can use remote protection service and get an protected IP which pointed to your real IP, it is like this: 10.1.1.1 on port 1190 is shown to your customer and when customer connect to it, the traffic pass to 192.168.1.1 on port 8090 which is your real IP and port. but if you use this method your data transfer affect and the best method is use a ddos protected vps which have ddos protection at network level.

For that purpose you can buy a DDoS filtered IP and then set up a GRE tunnel between that and your real IP. A good tutorial can be found here: http://wiki.buyvm.net/doku.php/gre_tunnel And no, I am NOT affiliated with this company.

If your intention is just to prevent the flood of connections, i would suggest installing firewall like csf and configure it to limit the number of connections from an IP address. You can set it to block the IP when it exceeds the connection limit.
