Sharing IP's from one data center to another via GRE Tunnel

Hi. Is it possible to do this with Linux? Server A: eth0: 69.100.100.10/24 Default GW: 69.100.100.1/24 gre0: 69.100.100.11/24 Server B: eth0: 200.200.200.10/27 Default GW: 200.200.200.1 gre0: gre0: 69.100.100.20/24 I want that if some one from the open internet tries to connect to 69.100.100.20 that they will be able. Is this possible? Should I be creating a bridge on the tunnel?

Bridge your uplink ports to a virtual ethernet device and bridge both ethernet devices between the DC's ... we do this all the time and it works fine

I don't know if I follow. Do you mind posting sample configs?

Create a tap on both sides, socat is useful for this. We use tinc for multiple locations. Bridge the tap to eth0 on both sides You can now use the IP's in both DC's on both machines

Way above my head. Do you mind "dumbing it down"? If I have eth0 on both devices what else do I need to do and what should be in the config files?

It seems like the person tried to do the same.... http://www.unix.com/ip-networking/11...tun0-eth0.html I assume that the issue is that the return packet is going through the servers eth0 instead of interface tun0? Last edited by Dovid; 04-07-2014 at 12:51 AM.
