I would ask What is the refund policy? What is the cancellation Policy? How long have they been in business? Do they oversell? (stay away from oversellers) Do they have a speed test? other things to check is their tos/aup, check out the website, do a whois see what comes up, you can see when the business/domain was registered, check what kind of support their is and the response times. Theres more but I would say that's the basics.

Along with the questions others provided, you should think about what YOU want to know before you sign up with the company. What the rest of us tell you are what we think we should ask which could be very different from your own interests.

One other question I would ask is do they provide a billing script for your use such as clientexec or whmcs. It would be a nice benefit down the road not having to pay seperate licensing fees for them. John

Choose quality over quantity.

Don't purchase anything that offers unlimited, it's just not true and often a company that offers this has poor service simply because of the amount of rookies that get reeled in to the offer and ask stupid questions.

I agree with Karl that you want to avoid "unlimited" offers. Unlimited does not tend to work out very well for customers.

I believe some providers do provide free WHMCS with their reseller packages. just google it to know the details.

It's best to get a WHMCS license separately from LicensePal.com, IMO.

could you please explain what is the difference? I couldn't find any other than price. Thanks.

You can use the WHMCS license with any host if you got it from LicensePal.com, where as you don't get to keep the WHMCS license if it was included with some kind of Reseller Hosting deal. So getting the WHMCS license from LicensePal.com just saves the hassle of having to switch licenses whenever moving from one host to another.

There are some disadvantages in ordering a WHMCS license from a reseller as opposed to direct from us: 1. You would not be entitled to the use of a free localhost development license. 2. You would not be allowed to become a WHMCS licensed reseller. 3. You would need to submit any license requests, changes and billing issues to your reseller and that may take longer to process. 4. You would not be eligible for our specially negotiated partner pricing: http://whmcs.com/partners.php
