Ok having an issue keeping my SSH session connected. First time i've had this issue. I use ClientAliveInterval 30 TCPKeepAlive yes ClientAliveCountMax 99999 - and ServerAliveInterval 100 perhaps i've overlooked something. it has been awhile since i set up a new keep alive sshd server.

I know a lot of home routers may kill TCP connections after 5-10 minutes, so that may be configurable at your end. Also if you use ClientAliveInterval, you generally don't need TCPKeepAlive. They're 2 different methods - and ClientAliveInterval is secure, TCPKeepAlive isn't. Did you restart SSHD also?

the router is a good idea but it never done that before on previous SSH. So prob not it. I will drop the TCP Keep Alive. Yup SSHD was restarted.

Double check, if you are already logged into ssh then it won't apply to your current session, you'd have to log out then back in to test it.

yea have many times. It has to be my connection at home dropping. I log in with another server, or my cell phone and they stay connected all night. The PC has stayed connected all night 1 time. Then kicks out randomly at various intervals when im idle. So im pretty sure the server is fine has to be my PC or my Internet dropping for a second or two. Very annoying.
