Looking for a new Reseller Host, $15-20/m, Help with Client Transfer

Posted by sam-the-man, 10-21-2009, 01:14 PM
I'm going to leave my current reseller host, because they are now under new ownership and the quality of service has degraded monumentally. I found this site on google, and in a pickle, thought it would be a good idea to register and come here for some help. The sites I host on my current package mostly consist of my own low traffic personal sites, and two clients (friends) that I've had for some time now. Most important factors: Price, Time, REPUTATION, ability to help me move all my accounts over to their network. Thanks for your time.

How much disk space and bandwidth do you suppose you'll require?

I'm looking for competitive bandwidth and diskspace offers in the 15-20 dollar monthly category ... such as say 25gb storage (give or take) and 300gb transfer (give or take). The most important thing to me is support, if a client of mine has an issue I need to be able to get in touch with someone about it because he's got a ton of people using his site daily for business purposes and downtime isn't an option. Location, anywhere in the US is fine.

Linux (preferably CentOS), no need for PGSQL, MSSQL, but I would need PHP5. I currently use cPanel for all my accounts.

since you use cpanel, the new host shouldn't have a problem transferring sites over unless your current server doesn't allow backpups (I've faced that before) It's always sad to see service and support go down the drain when a company is under new management. I've also never had good exp with changes in management. Good luck to you though, hopefully you find something more reliable.

I recommend Surpasshosting as your budget. Their support is fast(the average support response time is about 30 minutes) and uptime of the servers is good and the plans have rich features. Good luck.

Some hosts may even do the migration for you. Last edited by anon-e-mouse; 10-25-2009 at 07:24 AM.
