Problem with mod_deflate

Posted by mike_dgl, 09-08-2013, 05:24 PM
Hello guys, I have a problem with enabling compression of my website using mod_deflate. I currently host my website on apache server. I checked with commends if mod_deflate and gzip are enabled and they are. This is how my .htaccess file looks like: I checked with compression test tool if compression is enabled but it's not. Any idea how to fix it? thanks, Mike

You can check whether mod_deflate and zip is enabled using httpd -l | grep mod_deflate php -m | grep zip. If its not available, you should compile it.

great to hear that you found out solutions. Commands that I had given should run as root by using ssh clients such as putty.
