Enom SSL Testing

Hey guys, I've had a reseller account with HostGator for a while now and just the other day I got a customer who wants an ecommerce site with SSL. The guy is willing to pay for the certificate directly from VeriSign/GeoTrust, but I would like to use my enom reseller account to register the certificate, that way I get some money from it and I give him a lower price -- you know... to build trust while making a buck or vice versa Anyway, I've set up the SSL certificate in my WHMCS with Enomssl in test mode. When I go through the order process and then accept the order I receive the email with the link where to configure the certificate. When I submit that form it comes back with the error "# Failure Parsing CSR #". I have done this a few times. I have made sure that everything is right and the email address and is the same as in Whois records. I am beginning to think that Enom spits that error on purpose when in test mode so I can't get a valid cert. Could that be true? Any ideas? Thanks, AM

Sounds like an issue with your CSR rather than eNom.. Try using a CSR parser to see if it gives the same error.

Thanks for the reply! Nope, CSR Parser can decode the request just fine and gives exactly the data I used when I created it. The trouble with it is that I have no clue if it's going to work when I do it for real and that's bugging me. Do you know what you are supposed to get back if the parsing goes ok in test mode? Thanks again, AM

Enom provides support. I'd give them a call and have them walk you through the process and answer any additional questions you have.
