Hi, with my cpanel server,it seems some mailbox provider block my server ip, and i go to whm to check, there is some mail in queue, i think those mails are sent via some account's form, and those forms are not upload by the users. 1. how can i avoid those forms be uploaded to each account ? 2. because there are a lot sites on the ip,i can not set the rDNS of the ip to particular one domain, how can i set the rDNS well ? 3. is it fine that users need to use their form via smtp to send mail only ? by the way,it may decrease the mail be sent via the forms, but it may increase the user's inconvenience to use contact us form. any good suggestion ? thanx

lack of RDNS will cause your mail to likely be put into spam folders, but it shouldn't block it. Use a generic domain name for the rdns entry. That said, here's a few tricks to reduce outgoing mail (spam) in WHM/cPanel . All of these can be found in WHM -> settings -> mail Prevent “nobody” from sending mail - force users to authenticate before mailingTrack email origin via X-Source email headers Max hourly emails per domain - Set this to 100 or less Maximum percentage of failed or deferred messages a domain may send per hour - set this to a very low percentage (I have mine at 1%) Add X-PopBeforeSMTP header for mail sent via POP-before-SMTP I would also advise recompiling apache, adding the mailheader php patch in there (it's in easyapache options)

The purpose of reverse DNS is to identify legit SMTP servers. It has nothing to do with the source domains who will relay using that SMTP. For that there is SPF and DKIM. However its not just about setting reverse DNS, there are 2 other important points related to reverse DNS as well. 1. "A" type record of same name as set in reverse DNS should point to same IP 2. SMTP ehlo, should be also the same as reverse DNS If all 3 are not connected with each other, a lot of email server will not accept emails from you and some will give you negative score. For example you set reverse DNS for IP x.x.x.x to mail.abc.com. Now mail.abc.com should also point to x.x.x.x, and that SMTP should advertise itself as mail.abc.com in SMTP ehlo. Usually SMTP picks the hostname of OS as SMTP ehlo name. Regards usman

1. Register your IP to all FBLs of interest, for example: http://postmaster.aol.com/Postmaster.FeedbackLoop.php 2. Register your IP to whitelist of all email providers of interest. 1 is needed in order to prevent spamming and 2 in order to get your emails delivered into imbox and not spam. You should check some best practices documents from big email service providers: http://postmaster.aol.com/Postmaster.Tech.php

You actually don't want to do this unless you own the IP, physically. Let the DC do this and monitor that stuff, that's their job.

do you know some questions? 1. how can i get mail notify if there is many mails in queue ? because i find it is a get be upload form and spam, and it make my ip be blocked.. 2. if domain-1 send 10000 mails in queue at 10:10 and domain-2 send 1 mail at 10:12, will domain-2's mail be sent until all domain-1's 10000 mails finished ? thanx

No, domain 2 will not be able to send emails until the queue of 10000 emails got cleared of domain-1.

wow!! if working this way, if particular domain send too much and reach cpanel's setting limit, all other mail will stop there ?

No, I think with cPanel if a domain will send too much emails then its emails will be queued and other domains will be able to send their emails without any issue. However, I am not 100% sure about this.
