Please check attached screenshot for your reference,
svhost.exe is consuming more than a 1 GB memory on server and gradually increasing upto 2 GB, which we later found that it was related to www services, when we restarts the www or iisreset then again it slashes down to 200 KB but again starts increasing gradually.
How to resolve this issue?
How to limit consumption?
Server configuration is as follows.
It is Windows 2008 R2 server
with Intel Xeon 3.2 GHz server,
16 GB RAM.
Plesk 11.5
No. of Hosted websites : 620
components :IIS7, HTML, ASP, ASP.NET, PHP, MSSQL 2008.

| Posted by whmcsguru, 07-25-2013, 11:15 AM | | from my (albeit extremely limited) Windows server experience, IIS needs to be reset on a rather constant basis. Have you tried splitting up the sites into their own individual app pools, seeing which one of those is causing the issue?
This can come from a number of things. Bad web coding, memory leaks in the app itself, or, just too much going on in the server altogether. Unlike Apache, IIS can be very, very difficult to work around, and, actually does require resets frequently, again, from my very limited experience.

Unfortunately we did the same but problem still persist, is there any tool to monitor and detect culprits?

| Posted by whmcsguru, 08-01-2013, 12:09 AM | | Take a look at the process monitor, make sure you're viewing processes from all users. If the user is in their own pool, it should (theoretically) show up as a high resource pool.
Unfortunately, other than that, can't really be much help, as I mentioned, my exp with Windows servers is very, very limited.
