COREHOST (COREHOSTER) IS DOWN AGAIN!!

Posted by EuShellS, 04-18-2009, 09:00 PM
Hi, Again repeats the same problems? The server is dropped and good hours, and not site and how. There are good sites and involves up to any problem, which is it? For the public we offer a link to the latest information on their uptime is: http://www.pingdom.com/reports/l7f8k...CoreHoster.com What actually happens can someone explain something? I contacted the person from whom I bought told me that he has not received any notification about this downtime. What can I ask? If someone knows a hoster to a good offer, please <> .. are already fed up with this provider uptime weak. PS: Sorry for my English mind, but not an expert in English Language. Thank you Last edited by bear; 04-19-2009 at 08:01 AM.

Well based on that uptime results provided by pingdom, I personally would recommend finding a new provider. Web Hosting providers are unable to make direct recommendations to them selfs however so I recommend reading up some reviews on some other providers or checking the advertising section. Good luck with what ever you decide to do.

From the bad reviews that most people have posted lately, It should be a sign that you should find a new provider. Let's wait for an excuse Nick is going to post. =/

My account is still cannot be access now, contact to corehoster by website or email not reply email. Can paypal dispute or money back our money?

Posted by Shikhir A, 04-18-2009, 09:39 PM
Doubt it. It was a Virtual service so PayPal won't let you "reverse" the funds. If you used a credit card I'd recommend contacting the CC provider and issuing a chargeback.

Posted by Mr Terrence, 04-18-2009, 09:42 PM
If you don't receive a response I suggest you get for some sort of refund.

Posted by Mr Terrence, 04-18-2009, 09:44 PM
That's not correct, PayPal will refund the buyers funds.

Posted by Shikhir A, 04-18-2009, 09:46 PM
Not as I've seen. If you open a dispute, the buyer and seller argue. If you escalate it to a claim, it's seen as a "Virtual Item" and immediately declined.

Posted by Mr Terrence, 04-18-2009, 09:51 PM
PayPal does not protect the seller if its virtual goods. It might go in favor for the seller if the buyer opens disputes often.

Hey, I am just wondering if anyone can get onto CoreHoster, I am having trouble accessing the home page, a friend has an account there and I cannot access any of the site. I get a "Domain not found" error when trying to access corehoster.com . Please Help! Kind Regards, TriplebTalk

Its been down since about 12 hours ago, i dont have an account but i noticed that there was a downtime, there is a thread, and the owner was pretty badly abused by the community, so i would say he may have closed shop!

Posted by MightWeb-Greg, 04-19-2009, 12:06 AM
Oh no... I hope he didn't just up and close shop with all those peoples sites etc. That's just too bad. It might be out of his control. Hopefully it'll be back up soon!

Posted by respite, 04-19-2009, 12:23 AM
Well i do hope it something out of his control but i doubt that! the server is at Softlayer Technologies Inc and 12 hours downtime is highly unlikely considering this is 100% SLA provider.

Posted by triplebtalk, 04-19-2009, 12:32 AM
I think that the least he could do is tell everyone about it

Posted by rileez, 04-19-2009, 01:55 AM
Was just about to make a thread and seen this one. Down here. This isn't a good start. Been a customer for 3 days. Good thing I am not using this as a production account and was pretty much testing the waters. Once I get access to the ticket system I'm going to request my refund.

Posted by rileez, 04-19-2009, 02:10 AM
Just sent VbCrazy a PM to hopefully get his attention.

Posted by StartYourServer, 04-19-2009, 03:09 AM
From the attitude I have seen from the owner on this forum, I would not be surprised if you never got a response.

Posted by rileez, 04-19-2009, 03:12 AM
Which is weird because he is usually always on. There is another thread here. http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=855672

Its been down since about 16 hours ago, i dont have an account but i noticed that there was a downtime, there is a thread, and the owner was pretty badly abused by the community, so i would say he may have closed shop! Well i do hope it something out of his control but i doubt that! the server is at Softlayer Technologies Inc and 16 hours downtime is highly unlikely considering this is 100% SLA provider.

Posted by rileez, 04-19-2009, 03:56 AM
Yeah I honestly think it has to do with somebody not paying their server bill or maybe unplugged for terms violation or something in that nature.

Posted by Dustin B Cisneros, 04-19-2009, 04:00 AM
Well this doesnt sound good. Im sorry David this has happend to you. A new client for 3 day's and allready getting downtime not good. Im sure they will refund your money keep us updated.

Posted by EasycPanelXL, 04-19-2009, 04:01 AM
If there has been no warning email about downtime I would say it was not scheduled. Guess the only thing that will update the process or an explanation will be time. It would not be a big surprise if he has a ton of clients leave his service this month.

Posted by Dustin B Cisneros, 04-19-2009, 04:05 AM
Yea of course client's are allready saying they will be requesting refund once its up. But on the other hand people are afraid he will just let this go and not bring it back up. I really hope its not another hostchum deal where client's lose data due to a poor quality host.

How about we report this to the federal trade commission? he came from Canada.

Posted by andrew_t, 04-19-2009, 05:04 AM
I don't think that's the right way to handle it - first if you payed by CC, started by contacting your bank and asking for a chargeback, or paypal then open a dispute saying services were not given. The site has infact been in down for around 16 hours now also, Softlayer reports no downtime in their data centre today from giving them a call. So possible scenarios: Nick (VBCrazy) has infact shut down the service, deleting all data, cancelling services, etc. in a HostChum similar situationThere has been some sort of issue on the server in which is software based and Softlayer have not picked it up/reported to them. They are changing data centres servers and clients were not reportedI guess clients must wait for a response - i would give at least 72 hours after the incident before resorting to any legalised action.

Posted by Jamson, 04-19-2009, 06:01 AM
16 hours is definitely nasty - i'd start looking for your backups folks (you have them, right?).

Posted by JohnCS, 04-19-2009, 07:55 AM
You should open a case at Internet Crime Complaint Center via complaint.ic3.gov

Posted by Robert vd Boorn, 04-19-2009, 08:13 AM
I signed up there because it was so cheap that it would be fun just to have some space somewhere for whatever usage I would find, prepaid for 1 year, but decided to change to a lower plan basically meaning I had prepaid for 2 years ($47,**). Looks like it wasn't even worth half of that....

Posted by bgsebiosjr, 04-19-2009, 09:57 AM
Ok i will unite your decission, because i also down with my clients. actually the money is not my concern, my services to my clients. Last edited by bgsebiosjr; 04-19-2009 at 10:01 AM.

No, they never sent an email, they just made an announcement, in a lightbox popup, saying they will have "30 minutes" downtime for a memory check! I hope they will be up soon.

I do not want to discourage you but tell you my person, and cumulative and opinions elsewhere. As I said in previous post, he was supposed to be here to give a clear answer. But whatever the answer my recommendation and the other person is to take a BACKUP and amounts will be back (refund). After that you are looking for a new host.

Posted by gEmnet, 04-19-2009, 11:23 AM
@EuShellS - maybe you are right. I will wait 24 hours then I will ask for guaranteed assurance that they will avoid a similar downtime again (and when I say guaranteed, I mean that they will have to refund me in anytime, but to be honest I don't care about money) or I will change provider. It's easy and I am not discouraged! I can start again from the scratch!

hey guys, i found something abt corehoster.com i'm a client of corehoster and corehoster is down again. but i was shocked when i got my customers mail on my gmail id. i use email forwarder in cpanel to forward all the emails xxxxxx@mydomain.com to xxxxxx@gmail.com i dnt knw wats goin on. they alwayz do that thing hackers attack or anything like that. i thk they have a small server with small space. when there server's space gonna full. they delete all clients data. and tell their clients it was a hacker attack and all ur data is lost. (let me know if i'm thinking wrong)

Posted by StartYourServer, 04-19-2009, 05:32 PM
All that you have to do is file a chargeback for an unauthorized transaction and you will get your money back.

Posted by EasycPanelXL, 04-19-2009, 10:46 PM
Are you do say CoreHosters only has 1 servers, meaning if 1 servers thats entire network, Does that mean there clients cant access website?

Posted by Robert vd Boorn, 04-19-2009, 11:00 PM
Still nothing... sigh, Vaguhost style?

Posted by HJI Technologies LLC, 04-19-2009, 11:10 PM
Yea, they only have 1 server called 'green-core'. That's it.

Posted by tzec, 04-19-2009, 11:58 PM
I want to change the server, I lost my money here at corehoster.com but the prices are atractive so, anybody knows something similar alpha reseller account about 40 - 70/year ?

Posted by JohnCS, 04-19-2009, 11:59 PM
Yes, as I already told on other thread corehoster has only one server. The nick is telling a lie with their clients he has more then one server. If he has more then one server why all clients sites are down? May be problem in one server, but why sites on other server(s) are also down?

Posted by JohnCS, 04-20-2009, 12:18 AM
Dear tzec, The alpha master reseller is a very bad idea. Its beter for you to try master reseller from a relible Host. Best Regards,

Posted by andrew_t, 04-20-2009, 01:56 AM
I think if you want all that alpha reseller stuff you are better off getting a VPS or Dedicated server. As hosts that offer the alpha reseller stuff are often an indicator that they're crowding their servers.
