Failover for my Server

Hello, I own a server with ThePlanet. I run multiple websites off of this server and want complete redundancy. I need my website to switch over as soon as one goes down with limited to no customer disturbences. How can I make this possible without switching from ThePlanet? They do not have a module in place to do this.

I'm not a technician so I don't know the ins and outs of this, but this should be possible with a load balancer and another server.
