resource limit reached (cpanel error)

Posted by The Calling, 10-16-2012, 12:27 AM
I see this in my cpanel area. I'm running cloudlinux on this box (centos, cpanel 11). Why would that error appear in cpanel > resource limits area when the server status itself is always green and stable including memory usage?

I'd check on your CloudLinux settings. I assume you are you are trying to access a Shared Hosting account in a cPanel/WHM environment with CloudLinux? You can increase the number of simultaneous processes per account for example.

I would advise you to raise a support ticket to cPanel support people about this issue. It will be a better option.

You have to alter CloudLinux setting as suggested by cirtex.

Your problem here likely stems from CloudLinux as already pointed, Here is some information on that to help you. Regards,

Yes, this is maxEntryProcs reached. http://www.cloudlinux.com/docs/errors/MHL-E2BIG.php And no new connections for that site are accepted (until old are done). This is done so that single site cannot use up all the slots in apache, preventing all the sites being down. The solution is to increase that limit for the customer (if the customer doesn't overload the server), or for the customer to optimize scripts (so that they would serve faster/don't tie up apache connections).
