named Status shws down in WHM

in WHM "named" show down,
in whm and ssh i can restart named without any problem but in service status still show down!!
named 9.3.6-P1-RedHat-9.3.6-20.P1.el5 down
Restarting DNS Server
Waiting for named to restart.....finished.
named (/usr/sbin/named -u named) running as named with PID 16611 (process table check method)
named started ok

| Posted by Cirtex, 10-16-2012, 01:43 AM | | Seems like it is running fine. Have you checked via 'ps -aux' if named is indeed running? I'd try contacting cPanel Support to see if they can take a look for you. Maybe also try forcing an update on your cPanel/WHM via /scripts/upcp --force

Check with following command in SSH:
/etc/init.d/named status

| Posted by Server Management, 10-16-2012, 11:47 AM | | If looking at the service status within WHM sometimes you can have little glitches happening, Simply disable the monitor within service manager then enable again after you have disabled it, Sometimes that does fix it.

| Posted by BestServerSupport, 10-16-2012, 11:59 AM | | I would like to add further that if your websites hosted on your servers are working then it shows that your named service is working fine. As cd/home told, it happens sometimes with WHM service status.
