Posted by godesigner, 01-01-2008, 01:34 PM | Hello.
Is there any hosting Company who can provide end user live chat techical support ?
I have heard of scalahosting. But they are charging 20$ extra per month for that which is high for me. They Should not Charge more than 5$ .
I have even heard of tripodsupport. They are outsourcing company for resellors. But I mailed to the sales departmert and they have not replied yet.
I need end user live chat support with whmcs or modernbill with 10+ Gb at no more than 25$ per month.

$5 per month for live chat support does not seem viable to me. Nor do I understand why resellers feel they would need live support?

Posted by rv_irl, 01-01-2008, 03:25 PM | So your plan is to get sign ups by deception and fooling your visitors to sign up with a "company" that is much smaller than they think?

Posted by ThinkSupport, 01-01-2008, 04:09 PM | Also, one question comes to my mind.. how is it possible to operate end user live chat support ?
End user ticket support can be operated based on an anonymous domain with ticketing system.. but live chat ? ummm.. confused..

I never experience a good support from host that offer end user support to their reseller for starts. I have to deal with a lot of problems myself. Sometimes their tech support is just hired to reply to email using canned message.
At the end of the day, I decided to handle my own support. Let your customers know how long they should expect to wait before their ticket is answered.
A lot of clients problem in my opinions, can be settled in less than 5 minutes and customer will be happy with the prompt and decisive service.
Rather than being kicked around from one support to another.

$5 a month for live chat support is far below what you will pay. I dont think you will find a solution for that budget based on what your looking for AND if you do you will probably regret it in the long run.
Realistically a reseller hosting company can not support your end users via support desk and live chat at $5 a month and promise anytype of quality in such a service.
Just my opinion

Posted by rv_irl, 01-06-2008, 12:33 PM | I strongly disagree. We have been offering it for many years without any problems. Viable once you have the infrastructure properly set up and easy to deliver. Just a lot of high overhead in the initial set up.
Those that rush into it, well, they will have problems, but others that have taken the time to develop a decent infrastructure to deliver end user support can do so very well..
So I wouldn't be careful of hosts offering end user support, in some cases they are much better at those that don't. There is actually not much relation between quality of service and reliability between a host that offers end user support and one that doesn't.

Posted by RH4U, 01-06-2008, 02:29 PM | So your saying that (And im not arguing with you im simply asking) a reseller hosting service that offers $35 a month reseller hosting plan can add a promised end user support and support the reseller hosting customers end users regardless of the reseller hosting customer base at the same price of $35 a month?
We offer end user support but charge a per ticket rate. Im not saying we absolutely couldnt do it for free, but many resellers have 35+ customers. This is alot of support for free.

Posted by Fizzadar, 01-06-2008, 02:44 PM | It's not for free, because the reseller account isn't free, it's "included".
As for livechat, you don't need it on a small reseller, and it's more expensive, not $5 a month. Tickets are one thing, live chat is a whole different thing.
|
Posted by rv_irl, 01-06-2008, 03:12 PM | Yes that is correct. We developed our own software and created our own infrastructure for handling all the tickets.
We have resellers as small as having 20 or 30 accounts, and we have resellers that have as much as 200-300 accounts. We are able and do support them all without any problems.
We have been doing this for many years without any problems whatsoever. It's very easy for us to sustain and proved to be invaluable to our clients.
