CAPTCHA issue on VPS

I have installed a script that uses CAPTCHA. however I am unable to view the CAPTCHA image. the requirements for CAPTCHA is PHP 4/5 with GD and FreeType libraries. I already have these requirement but I reninstalled php5 with GD and still with not luck. I am usiing Plesk 10.4 ......is there a problem running CAPTCHA on Plesk 10.4 on a VPS

Did you make sure that freetype, libpng, libjpg, etc were also installed/configured

Open the script and comment out the header("Content-type") line. Now reload the image that makes the script and see if it outputs any errors.

Error log should show that as well.
