I'm looking for a reseller account with minimum 5GB space and more than 100GB bandwidth per month. I want this only to be able to send unlimited emails per day, can I do this with a reseller account or would I need a VPS? I'm ready to pay 20$/month Is this possible?

I am sure unlimited emails or bulk email won't work on any good reseller provider, and most of the established hosts have a limit per hour. And since most of the datacenters are very strict in curbing SPAM, I am not sure if a VPS will be of help too.

I don't want to use the unlimited emails in mailinglists. But into my forum, I have a forum with more than 50,000users and they use alot of emails per day, more than the limit. Besides, sometimes I have to email my users, I won't be able to do so if I have a limit on the emails. Is there anyway I could do this via reseller or VPS?

Your average (or even above) VPS will just choke up if you overuse the email. If you're sending out up to 50k emails at a time, you'll need to use batching. Your forum software should support this. If you want to be able to guarantee almost instant delivery of 50,000 emails each time, you'll need a good dedicated servers. Otherwise, do batching but be careful to set a limit that your account can handle. Check with your provider for their per-hour (or other time period) limit and adjust your batch settings accordingly. Given the amount of emails, a VPS seems like the more easy to find and affordable option (Simon's advice should be heeded). You will need to be careful to address any IP blacklistings.

Also if your emails are not legitimate, your account will be reported and end up being terminated. It doesn't matter you're using reseller, vps or dedicated server.

Most resellers or VPS providers are trying hard to cut back on spam as it causes the servers IP to be blacklisted. Other clients on the same server will then be upset becuase they will not be able to send basic emails to many popular email providers.

You will likely find a cap of 200 emails per X on a reseller. VPS would be the way to go, but be sure to ask questions and read the TOS carefully, especially if your business depends on these emails
