use something passive like Malwarebytes AntiMalware, and just run a weekly scan, so you don't waste resources 24/7

The actual install software has not been, however the rulesets it downloads have been so it is still pretty current. Its like antivirus, you install it once and it downloads updates, maldet does the same exact thing.

What kind of protection are you seeking in your environment? Email and Filestore malware/viruses or Intrusion detection, etc For system or email scanning I'd use clamav, and snort/snorby for intrustion detection on *nix based systems.

I want to secure the files of the server. Last time, some accounts were compromised due to base64 injection. I don't know what happened in actual but files were injected harmful code. This is why I am asking for malware.
