Posted by mcaynoz, 04-27-2012, 03:34 AM | My host is giving me the boot because of constant DDoS attacks,
i still have my server for like 2 weeks?
how could i move all the VM's in SoulsVM into my new node

Posted by ppltd, 04-27-2012, 05:11 AM | If its OpenVZ theres a wiki entry on the SolusVM website here: http://wiki.solusvm.com/index.php/Mi...irtual_Servers
Otherwise i'd suggest opening a support ticket with the SolusVM guys, they always seem pretty helpful.

The tutorial that ppltd mentioned is perfect for this.

Posted by AdmoNet, 04-27-2012, 11:10 AM | Hello,
With DDoS attacks there are many variables to consider.
* What type of attack were they?
-UDP - If UDP, how large (gbit/sec) was the attack?
-TCP - If TCP, was this a SYN flood, how many packets per second was the attack?
-HTTP - Layer7 flood, if this was a WEB flood, was it a GET flood? Was this a POST flood?
Depending on the type of attack you are seeing, you may be able to get away with another standard host. HTTP floods generally do not cause disruption to the providers network but cause issues with the web application. In this case, it may be best to consult a DDoS proxy provider for the impacted sites.
Good luck!

Posted by mugo, 04-28-2012, 02:42 AM | scp comes with openssh-clients
yum install openssh-clients
Assuming you are on some RPM based distro...if you are on Ubuntu / Debian deriv
sudo apt-get install ssh
