AtMail Issues

Posted by PoseidonsFool, 04-03-2012, 10:52 AM
hey there... I am using a Mac OS-X server for my mail server... want to get away from using "squirl-mail" and found that one of the domain hosts that i use for a personal website has "AtMailOpen"... I downloaded the open source version, and did the install... and it installed fine... now i have a log in screen that is requesting all sorts of information... and i give it the information but it says login failed... my server requires: INCOMING: host: campus.hartland.edu port: 993 encrypted passwords and uses SSL looking at what little documentation there is... there is supposed to be an admin section... but in the install there was never a question about admin log in or password... any and all help is appreciated... how do i check it on port 143??? we have a mail server... with all accounts and all that... i just want to connect a webmail client so that people that are off campus can access their emails... email server: host: campus.hartland.edu incoming - port: 993, uses: SSL/TSL and encrypted passwords outgoing - port: 587, uses STARTTSL and encrypted passwords how do i configure it so that it asks for the username and password of the end user, and then brings in their specific emails and things???

I'm pretty sure that the login screen actually has the area to input the server, or atleast it use to. Previously, there was a single HTML page that you could modify that contained the login table so that you could change the fields to hidden and hard code the values. It's been quite some time since I've looked though.

for you client receiving mails are you using outlook? and if you using other software then configure incoming mail server port 143.

i can't log in at all... once the install is complete it just asks me to log in with name and server and all that... but it doesn't actually log in... i get a "login failed" we are using Thunderbird for the windows machines... using port 993 and ssl for incoming and port 587 with STARTTSL for outgoing. we do not use any other ports... is there a way to get an administration section or something like that to do the configuring???
