File Recovery

Hi Guys, Is there a way to recover the files from a server that was already cancelled? Is there a program that DC can use to get the files from that server? I have a reseller account with VAR, I did'nt know that they will cancel the server (node101 to be exact). I was trying to get hold of theplanet and they told me that if a server was cancelled all files on it are already deleted. Im asking you guys, is if they can still recover such files or account from that server? Thanks

Hi, It all depends on who you're dealing with and the overall situation. In most cases if it's your host's fault for not paying bill and runs off, I'm sure the DC will try to help and assist in restoring your files, but other than that I highly doubt they'll do much if you canceled it and files were lost after cancelation. Cheers

I had this same issue with a server from The Planet once. The datacenter techs pulled my server a good two days before the scheduled cancellation date. Lost an entire forum I was planning to sell I went through all the hoops, talked to everyone I could about reclaiming the dedicated server and running a file recovery procedure on it, but there wasn't anything that could be done. Since you're with The Planet too, there isn't anything you can do to get the data back.

Hi Guys, Thanks for your inputs, I guess all data were gone as Shaw did expirienced a cancelation with ThePlanet. I also did tried to look around for help and tried to find some solutions to get those data files back, I guess there would be no solutions for this. -ioriblue
