PowerVPS review

Posted by mesobob, 12-13-2006, 07:26 PM
This is going to be short and sweet, but there really isn`t a lot to say. I purchased a powervps reseller account almost a month ago. Looking through these forums I noticed they have very few reviews for their reseller plans which is surprising, so here we go. I also have a vps with these guys. The sign up was flawless and I had my welcome email within a few hours of paying late in the evening. I was able to fore go the usual phone verification used when ordering vps`s as I`m already a customer of theirs. As I approach the 30 day mark, I cannot recall any downtime whatsoever. The server and indeed the sites on this reseller account run lightning fast. Server loads are always nice and light. I`m a frequent checker of the server stats, I have yet to see the cpu load go beyond 1.00 and memory stays well below 30%. The support department is fantastic. Tickets are answered anywhere between five minutes and thirty minutes. I get the same level of service, the same courtesy as I do with my more expensive vps account with them. They also go out of their way to help, instead of doing just enough. One of my forums was compromised this morning, and I was flawed at how much they helped with backups, blocking IP`s and generally making my life a lot easier. I can`t fault them for price either. While space and bandwidth is a little small for $19.99, you get the usual goodies such as private nameservers, overselling enabled and they throw in a clientexec license. I say the space and bandwidth is rather small for a reseller plan, but I cannot complain because it really is premium quality service you`re paying for here. After all, 19.99 per month is squat for a decent service and powervps thus so far provide it. For anyone looking for a reseller plan, I would highly recommend PowerVPS. I`ll give them 10/10 simply because I have found absolutely nothing wrong with account or service. Seriously! I`ll be back in a few months to update this thread. Mods, I`ll PM you a domain I have hosted with these guys if you like to verify this review?

Hi I use to host support.cyberhostpro.com on a dedicated Linux box with the planet (paid around $400-$450 month) , i moved it to a VPS (VPS 3 - cpanel) with powervps that is $120 month (ish) to save money. The network was by far faster than the planet so I also give PowerVPS the thumbs up!

We have 1 VPS server with PowerVPS and we are very satisfied. Their support is quick to respond as well Even though their price is a bit higher than their competitions I reckoned its very worth it! Zac
