! So whats the deal with HostDepartment !

Posted by SuperRobot5000, 07-15-2006, 01:36 AM
hey people !! I know that a few of you guys have been saying that HostDepartment.com are a bunch of crooks or are not delivering on their promises... But I want to know if any of you's have had good experiances with them and their reseller plans? The reason why ask is because they have such a good list of reseller features! Even though the bandwidth is alittle low for the amount of space they provide, they do allow for unlimited SQL2000 databases and Unlimited Domains and Unlimited other stuff! I've been reading alot of the other posts and they recommend this hoster and that hoster, but I need one that provides a Windows based OS with lots of space and Unlimited SQL2000 database... this is what HostDepartment provides. What are your thoughts? .

Do they offer an unlimited number of mssql databases or an unlimited about of space allocated to mssql ? You must remember, DB usage is very CPU intensive - and most hosts would either limit the number of ms sql db's you can create or the total ms sql allocation - or both... this really is necessary in order to ensure a stable environment, and I am particular hostdepartment limits 1 of the above

thanks for the tip! i will find out. One big question is... which hosting reseller is better than the other: HostDepartment.Com -or- DataPacket.Net

continuing with the above post. i know its a case of "better of the two evils", but they provide really good features within their reseller plans.

So, what you are saying is that we should help pick the lesser evil?
