Problem with FTP account

Alright I used a script to make and setup a server, it also makes a FTP users. Now I'm trying to add another FTP user but it won't let the user into the main users /downloads folder, I've tried adding the user to the main guys group, which is just his name but it doesn't work, I tried adding him to group root and it still wouldn't work, anyone have an idea?

Yeah the main user that the script made, his user and group though is mr.t/mr.t and I cannot add the new user to that for some reason.

Make sure that the user you're adding is a user on your system. This might help: Adding new users to vsftpd.

Try this : And then you will be asked to enter the password of your choice for that user and restart vsftpd then : It should work after that.
