It is not command it's APT repository. You have to insert it end of '/etc/apt/sources.list' file and yes its for Debian not for CentOS.

Tartarus or other script, if you want compressed, then the incremental backup won't work. At least not with ftp proto. Why not just write a simple script to upload the compressed backups with scp?

Your topic says 'ftp' backup. Is hetzner need you to upload your backups via ftp or not? If so - you can use cpanel native option to upload ftp backups

Hi, I don't really understand the way you want to do your backups, but I have made myself a script to TAR /incremental and FTP the backups , see -> h_t_tp://centosforserver.blogspot.com/2010/02/backup-script-with-tar-incremental.html

says also incremental ) Now i see what you mean. Ok, but this option not support incremental backups and i have to check everytime about the space in FTP server (100GB).. that is the reason i don't use the default cpanel (Remote FTP) option.

Incremental FTP backups mate. I was don't know is that so complicated to create x backups every x days and send them to remote server, then they stay for x days in server and then deleted by a simple script to prevent full up the backup space.. x:
