Problem with host redirection

Hello, I have a problem, in my host if I access http://mydomain.com/info it's redirected to info.php, and that happens to anything without .php extension will be redirected to (or added) .php. This causes the problem if I want to setup my own redirection using .htaccess like this: Instead of running faq.php, the server still redirects it to info.php when I access http://mydomain.com/info/faq I tested in my local host (using XAMPP) and it's running fine (means it redirects to faq.php). Is there something that I should do? or does my host need some changes maybe in the host's configuration? Thanks in advance.

Is this the full version of your .htaccess or is there more to it? Also do you have control of the server, or just your website files?

Hi, that's just part of my .htaccess, but it's the only one that related to this case. I only have control of my website files.
