ResellerZoom 10 Month Review

Posted by littlened, 04-03-2006, 09:16 AM
Ok, been with ResellerZoom now for 10 month, and thought I'd share my experiences with people. I signed up for the budget reseller package @ $24.95/p month. I can't say during my time with them I've had any issues at all. The only issues I've had have been when the RAID on the server has been syncing, I've noticed this twice and during both times cpanel we barely reachable, websites would load ok, but pop emails wouldnt work. Syncing the raid normally takes a few hours. speeds have always been good, however cpanel can sometimes be abit slow. Technical support is fairly quick, they respond normally within 15 minute. Server uptime has been good according to their 3rd party site monitor, lowest I think I've seen is 99.98%, some months they achieve 100%. Overall I'm more than happy with what I get for my money, I suppose to solve the slow cpanel issue I could upgrade to the advanced or premium package, where they have less users on the servers. However once they start offering VPS I'm going to upgrade to that seeing as I'm happy with them. Hope my short post is useful to some people.

i couldn't find a budget reseller package for 24,95 http://www.resellerzoom.com/budget-reseller.shtml is it advancedone package?

24.95 is for advance package at resellerzoom. I have with them before with advance plan. Their support is great. They also support my client under my account too.

Mine is a budget account, with 120gb bandwidth and 8gb disk space. I think I signed up for my account when they had an offer on. Just as a side note, I added clientexec onto my account last night for an extra $5 per month.

RZ is the Best

I have to disagree. I used them for a year and will never use them ever again. They don't have any kind of support other than email support. They have a live chat thats fine. But don't try to call them because they don't provide any kind of customer service, customer support or billing over the phone. You must submit a ticket since they no longer have a customer support department. They use gotvmail.com for their PBX to make them sound like a big company. I mean come on folks its a 2 man operation they are running. I called for support and everytime I call they don't even say thank you for calling hostingzoom, they just say "hello". Now if you call they great then I don't know what good hosting is.

I have to disagree, I have spoke to more than 2 people in support, so it cant be a two man band. They have different departments, customer service, billing, sales, and support. I have had no problems with them at all, infact I am upgrading my account as we speak.

I was with RZ for ~7 months. It's definitely not a 2 man band.

Thanks for your review, I was looking into hosting with them. Probably just a basic budget account, if I have to upgrade, i'll upgrade as I need it. Thanks again. Michael

They are nice and all and have help desk ticket support - no live chat unless you're of a particular hosting level. They respond quickly, but they've been having a lot of outages and problems lately within the last 3 or 4 months. And this is AFTER having limited the amount of domains per account, which I thought was sort of crappy since I signed on with them intentionally to have unlimited domains (as long as I stayed w/in my allocation of space and bandwidth) but was okay with if it meant better stability for our servers. It didn't. The servers are having problems and it seems to be getting worse. I wouldn't throw them away yet, but be advised that the glowing reviews of the past might not be relevant to today.
