anyone tried coaxservices?

Posted by Lordo, 12-12-2004, 09:27 AM
Any experience with coaxservices.com ?

Posted by Maxo, 12-12-2004, 11:08 AM
I was unable to find any feedback on WHT about coaxservices.com. However I checked the website and the thing I did not really like is that they do not have a phone number for customer support, only link to Customer Support page, which does not really work and shows blank page.

I noticed that too. Just like Access Globe not even answering a simple questtion via email...Danger, Will Robinson! Danger! Bryon

Posted by Lordo, 12-12-2004, 12:40 PM
Thanks for bringing that to attention. Seems like although I have been through horrible hosts, I still need to learn how to avoid them

Posted by CoaxServices, 12-12-2004, 09:44 PM
Hi bryonhost1, what "simple questtion" you send to us? We never recive your mail. If you need access the ticket system, you need login into your account (Using Helm control panel). Or send mail, using support at coaxservices.com Thanks

Posted by bryonhost1, 12-12-2004, 10:34 PM
Hi! Please read the message before responding..please? The email was not sent to you...but to Access Globe. Bryon

Posted by CoaxServices, 12-12-2004, 10:39 PM
You write "Just like Access Globe"

Posted by bryonhost1, 12-12-2004, 11:41 PM
Ok..I was in a hurry and that sentence would prolly make some English teacher scream. We were talking about things that concern us...and the blank support page is a problem. Please fix it. it is a problem when hosts look and act very unprofessional. n fact, the one that I did reach via phone would have been better off not answering the phone at all...ummm...ever. Don't get mad at somebody for pointing out bad links...missing pages..etc. It prices *You* business...not me. Today's winner of the "These people really need to rethink things" award goes to..(drum roll, please)...galaxywebhost.com's state of the art ticket system that tells me..they don't have a valid license to use this program..which tells me...to go elsewhere! Come on now...I check things. I check a lot of things. I email folks. I click on those stupid chat things that I know 99% of the time they're not going to work. Blah. Bryon Unpaid host consultant

loooooooooooool @ Bryon You definately have seen alot! I like the not licensed ticket support system part I might give coax a shot soon. And I will get back to tell

Hi! Yup. Me too. Not really bad folks at all. Bryon "Geeez...these 27 hour work days are *really* taking a toll!"

Posted by bryonhost1, 12-23-2004, 09:40 AM
Hi! Well...I'm giving them a shot. I have a feeling I am going to regret it...but...it's done. I signed up over nine hours ago..and no email from any human yet...prolly not a good sign. Bryon

Posted by Lordo, 12-23-2004, 10:06 AM
Keep us updated. As far as I felt, it is a one guy managed thing. But he surely wants to be in business, doesn't he?

Hi! I hope so. This will end all our doubt. I decided it was time. I'll keep you posted. Bryon Reseller Account Consultant

Good news. I finally got a response from him via email. I think he *thought* it would setup the account automatically...but it did not. I didn't think it would. Anyways...I think progress is being made. Bryon

Posted by bryonhost1, 01-01-2005, 11:30 AM
Hi! I'm quite pleased with them...I will know more once I start putting their hosting to the test with Siteseer. Right now...I'm loaded down with all this web design stuff...not one of my favorite facets. I'll report more when there is more to report! Bryon

Posted by insitesolutions, 01-01-2005, 11:33 AM
Thanks Bryon.... i did a whois on their domain and it was registered in Nov' 02 ... but i dont think they've been in business for 2 years. Anyways i'll wait for some more reviews. Any other Windows reseller plans in this price range??

Hi! Well.it depends. Hoststock.com has Helm...and I'm currently testing them. I'm getting Plesk from sitesouth.com..and we'll see how they are shortly. I have almost everything else..except for Ensim...not sure about that. Good Luck Bryon Proud founder of new reseller account a day club

So bryon, how is it? They support subdomains like mail.domain.com or helm.domain.com?

Posted by CoaxServices, 01-04-2005, 01:40 PM
Yes, We support subdomains.

Posted by iwire, 01-04-2005, 02:38 PM
Hello Coax, good that u're here. I sent an email asking for a free trial for some days, you guys can provide that? About subdomains, I mean get access to helm or webmail using port 80, as cp.domain.com or thatsmycp.domain.com would point to helm IP serving on http 80.

Posted by CoaxServices, 01-04-2005, 02:44 PM
Yes, We can give you a one week trial. Please send me your info to support@coaxservices.com and I open your trial account and send the info to config the subdomains.

I am in with you guys! Just signed up with one hand on the keyboard and the other on my heart! I have suffered enough from bad hosts. Hope it works this time..

Today we had a problem with an OS and IIS6 update. This problem took us to stop all IIS services for an hour or less. This problem has been fixed and now all services operates normally. We deeply apologize this service interruption during this short time period. Thanks for your understanding. For any additional information, please write us to support@coaxservices.com

I just signed up. And thanks for your notice about the error today. This is a good indication Last edited by Lordo; 01-05-2005 at 03:30 PM.

I also just signed up with Coax, and I'm having some problems but enjoying the rest. At first, I could not get FTP to work due to some server errors. I sent them and email, and got a response about 30 seconds later. After a helpful series of emails, the problem was sorted out and now it looks fine.... so as far as support goes they are good However, right now I am having a problem with ASP on their servers. Just emailed and I'm waiting for a response. Other than that it's been glitchless... I'll keep you updated!

Posted by Lordo, 01-06-2005, 12:06 AM
Hope ASP works for you It is OK here. Had the same problem with FTP (I guess it is a Helm thing because it happened to me before at another host and it was Helm). They fixed it immediately for me too.

Time for a quick report These guys are really good. They don't only care for replying to my messages very quickly, but they also help me by doing things that are not easy to do without server controls (like mysql dumping for 40MB files - posting code examples for using ASP components on their forums). I feel like I am ganna stay this time I just hope that they stay this way. It will take at least 6 months to really judge the service. But I think they want to be in business. Keep it up, coax

Hi, Hows it going with coaxservices? I'm looking for a reseller host & came across this post, their site seems to offer what I need. Which package did you go with? Si

Posted by Lordo, 11-12-2005, 12:55 PM
They are still good Only thing is that mail sometimes fails and they fix it quickly. Other than that, everything is OK.

Two year review, quite impressive, what's your website that you have hosted with them?
