Looking for a reseller host

Posted by wendylady, 01-26-2006, 01:04 PM
I am looking for a reseller account where I can have unlimited domains for $30/mo. or under. Something fast, reliable and has good support. Or something I can add to my current host. I currently have a plan where all of my sites are in my control panel and they do not have access, except for ftp. If they have a domain name, possibly point their domain name to a folder with the site they create on my host. I am not familiar with all of this, so I am not sure what to ask for, or how to go about getting what I want. I want to be able to: Set up each customer with their own control panel, or login screen Each customer can create their own website online Page layout template that I create myself (there will only be one style) Each customer can add products, costs, etc. Each site has it's own checkout, or add a pay pal button, a button to collect order info by email, or collect credit card info to process how they like. I am looking for something along the lines of this site: ezshoppes.com/information.html Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Have you asked your current host if they have a reseller package they can bump you up to?

There unlimited packages are too expensive. I am currently paying $35.95/mo now for 10 free domains. Additional domains are $4.95 each. For the seperate control panel for each domain is even more. I am happy with their service but I am not being able to get acheived what I want, plus they are not cheap.

Moved to Reseller Hosting Forum. (The other thread started in this forum has been removed because we need only one.) Lois

I am new to this forum and am a reseller who is trying to learn about dedicated hosting and how they sell to resellers. I'm sure someone here has hear of Fat Network - how do they sell unlimited space/bandwidth to resellers for $24.95? Oversell, I realize! How many resellers can they put on one server? Anyone had any experience with them, or similar? To address your question, I have used a couple of reseller plans and usually with good service. You can get unlimited domains, space, and bandwidth for less then $30 - of course the unlimited part is only until you have a large enough business that you are compromising their reliability, I know.

As you have proboblay heard, be VERY carefull who you pick! Personally I have heard some good things about bluehost.com, I think they offer resellers also.

and what site/sites do you currently host with them?

What you're looking for can be had at many hosts offering reseller services. First though, you should ask your current host about reselling, but nevermind their unlimited package. That will just cause you trouble in the long run. Second, do alot of research. There are many hosts at WHT. Look for reviews, ask questions, inform yourself. Third, what are you looking at, ressource-wise, for your 30$/month budget? Any choice in operating systems and/or control panels? These are all things you'll need to decide upon before choosing. Goodluck

What are your requirements for disk space and bandwidth? I do not think you will have any trouble finding a web host within your budget if your requirements are reasonable
