Reliable small reseller account

Posted by mmhelp, 01-26-2006, 09:32 AM
I'm looking for a reliable and fast resseller hosting account for appox 50 domains. NAC or Internap datacenter is preferable (east coast). I've found resellerzoom, their Preminum plan is good but I don't need that much space/bandwidth/domains, they don't fit my size. Must be a WHM/Cpanel hosting. Space = 2-3 Gb Bandwidth = 30-40Gb Also, ability to enable/disable SSH is a plus. Overselling must be allowed (this is when you can grant more resources than actually used). The server shoudn't be overcrowded. My budget is $30-35/month (PayPal is ok). I've post a request on hostvoice.com via WHT but got no replies so far (got a few autoresponding emails though). Can you recommend someone? I was thinking about fluidhost VPS but I have a bad experince with their shared hosting. On the other hand, I have a good experience from a company which is a Pegasus Web Technology's(NAC company) reseller. Overall, I have a few e-commerce web sites and need to host them all in one top notch place (full daily backup, RAID etc.) Thanks.

Hello, You may want to check out PowerVPS. This is a sister corp. of Defender Hosting, one of the best run companies there is, imho. All aspects of dealing w/ these companies is professional. They are also located at Equinix on the East Coast. Hope this helps and good luck w/ your search! Edit: Whoops missed your overselling required comment. I don't believe they offer that.

AllenB thanks, powervps looks good, bookmarked them. Are their servers managed by Equinix staff btw? SJRHosting.com Yes, I have done a search, I couldn't pick out anyone there. I'm looking for quality and not quantity. cyberturk thanks for the links.

I know you have seen this company mentioned alot around here, but I have had good luck with Site5! I have been with them for about 6 months. I have had a nightmare of reseller hosting problems over the last 2 years. I have had the worst companies ever reviewed here (Before I found this website). But for the most part all of my headaches disappeared when I began hosting with Site5. As a matter of fact I am about to move up to the next plan because I am running out of available space. They have good support that has taken care of all my minor problems in an acceptable amount of time. But the best thing I can say for them is that they have not created any major problems for me! Their server uptime has been good as well. Their support as been good, too. You might consider them as well. Regards, Dave

Here are some reseller directories that could help, really easy to use just fill in you're requirements and search away: http://www.hostpulse.com/hosting/sho...webhosting.asp http://www.hostbyte.com/web-hosting/reseller/

What about ResellerZoom's $5/month reseller account? Should be sufficient. Reputation is great with their name.

Submit your hosting requirements to HostVoice.com as well. Your hosting request will be sent to dozens of web hosts and you'll receive quote replies from them via e-mail. Good luck finding a web host!

Try using the host quote feature on webhostingtalk, go here http://www.webhostingtalk.com/request.php

Please read my first post, I've sent a request to HostVoice.com via WHM, no replies, no quotes! On Reseller Zoom, I need something better. Anyway, thanks to all posted, it seems I've found what I need.

mmhelp, Your budget is very reasonable and you should be able to find a good host. FluidHosting from what I've seen actually has a very good reputation, so I'm very surprised that you have had a bad experience with their shared hosting. PWebTech isn't at NAC anymore, in fact there was a pretty vast dispute between the two companies. Finding a company at InterNAP is pretty tough as most companies center their model around offering cheap costs and the only way to do that is to be backed by a cheap network and cheap hardware. What you are going to have to do is look for a company which takes quality before price, most WHT companies don't do this . . . Best of luck!
