ClientExec - CPANEL PLUGIN PROBLEM

Posted by Aurelian, 01-25-2006, 07:03 PM
Hello there guys, I cannot make use of ClientExec's plugin for auto creation of the accounts in WHM. Can you please tell me what's wrong? i get Cannot create account. Cpanel is not found on this server. I checked the KB of the ClientExec site and said that open_basedir should be set to no value. Also there said to checkt he file from /clientexecpathe/phpinfo.php On that file it gives me a path on open_basedir. I talked ot my host to put it to no value and they said it's already to no value pointing me to a info.php file from my account. Indeed there says no value. What i wanna know is: Why i get 2 different results from 2 different files for info on php. And how can i fix that damn autocreatoin thingy? Thank you.

Wouldn't this be best suited to be asked at ClientExec's site? Not to fault you for asking here, but the author is best equipped to support his own product, no?

he asks for licence. Which i cannot prove i have it as my host gave it to me for free. I cannot get support from them this way. I read their KB and all i found was the deal about open_basedir which i told you that is set to no value using 1 info file and to other thing using another info file (the one withing clientexec)

Then your host must help you out with this, even if simply by acting as an intermediary.

If the host provided it, and it's legal you should be able to get support, if not from CE directly, then from the host that "gave" it to you. Someone has to support this product. < Dan was quicker on the draw...>

The unofficial support forums, which you should be able to access, are here: www.ce-talk.com

Just to chime in, the host should be giving you support it's their responsibility (as per the clientexec tos) what they can do (as we have done on several ocassions) is open a ticket on your behalf and the guys at clientexec will take a look into it, on average we got a reply in 6 minutes.

If you keep having this problem upgrade to 2.6.2 and it should fix the problem since Cpanel is no longer required to use the plugin. You can request the files from your host who can download the files from the clientexec members area.

thx guys. It's solved now. Shrapnet_mike, does it worth upgrading to that version? What is different?

It's always best to keep up with the latest version for security reasons. Take a look at the changelog and decide for yourself. http://www.clientexec.com/newsite/wordpress/?p=13

Could a mod get this moved over to the hosting control panel area, will be more helpful in there.
