Reseller hosting in Germany?

Posted by bloop, 12-08-2005, 10:53 PM
Hello, I am developing a few websites for the german market and would like to find a quality webhost. The ideal for me would be to have multiple IP addresses for individual sites (3 would be enough for now) but also the ability to expand as needed and potentially to move into a dedicated environment in the future. While I can speak some german, finding a host that supports english would be very helpful. Note: I would also be willing to consider a high quality shared host if there were an equivalent to companies such as site5.com.

For example http://rackcheck.de/hosting/index.html Click on any package and you'll be redirected to the reseller packages. You can find some details about Rackcheck's uptime at http://www.hyperspin.com/ More on German web-hosting providers: http://www.webhostlist.de/

Hi, You could try Euro VPS, they are in Holland, but close enough. They seem to have a good reputation here, do a search... http://www.eurovps.com/ TTTulio

If you don't speak fluent German then I would recommend an English speaking company because it can get quite complicated with the support. Eurovps is one of the best english speaking hosting companies in Europe.

I suppose that you have noticed that Rackcheck has a multi-language website that include English, so there should be no problems in conversation/support, right? You can also check www.keyweb.de for a multi-domain hosting packages, but I'm not sure that they have an option for reselling web-hosting. For just three domains, you may consider www.hoststar.ch, their servers are in Germany (@Hetzner). Others to be considered: Netbuild.net, DomainFactory.de, WebhostOne.de, All-inkl.com, etc. Don't forget to ask for English support.

Thanks for the help, are any of these Cpanel based? I have not been able to find this information on most of the sites. EuroVPS seems quite good but they do not offer Cpanel. My lack of german is becoming a bit of a problem.

You'll be able to save a considerable amount of money and a minimum loss of connection speed by looking for a host in the UK rather than Germany. You also won't have the language issue.

Do you have any statistics on the speed differences I might expect? It would have to be extremely minimal as our customer base will be virtually all coming from Germany. Cost is not my main concern here, I'm most interested in experience, reputation, and of course quality.
